How do you copy a pattern you like and paste it into a different group?

It’s enough to use Duplicate button.
When you hold it to duplicate a group to another one, on top you’ll have the option “+content” (on the second button over first screen).
With that activated, both the sounds and the patterns will be copied

There is no single step process to do that. Sounds and Patterns belong to Groups, therefore copying both would mean to copy the whole Group.
What you have to do is duplicate the desired Sound(s) into empty Sound slots of the target Group, and then copy over the Events for each Sound / Pattern into an existing or new Pattern.
Interestingly, the Maschine JAM allows to copy Patterns (without the Sounds) from one Group to another in a single step. Thus, the Software can do it, but none of the other Maschine controllers offer button combinations to execute this task.

BTW, copy & paste of events from the Maschine controller behaves a bit odd in my experience. The events are copied relative to the start of the Pattern, and then pasted relative to the Playhead at the new destination. However, if you paste again, the events are pasted exactly at the Playhead position, and therefore losing the micro timing offset of the whole group of events.

One more thing: When loading and duplicating, Maschine offers options such as „+Routings“ and „+Patterns“ for Groups and „+Events“ for Sounds.

@ozon I don’t get it…is my suggestion not working for you?

First: I didn’t see your answer while writing mine. Not even when writing my third reply. Odd.
Second: You’re duplicating the whole Group, which is trivial and - according to how the question is formulated - I assume is not what OP wants.

in the software, hold ALT ( Mac ) and drag pattern to new pattern slot , existing group or another group , that will copy the pattern only .
if you want to copy the group sounds (kit) without duplicating the group highlight all sounds ( select first sound , hold shift select last sound ) right click and copy , then right click and paste to new group sound slots0 -
Maybe I misunderstood what the OP wants.
The forum not showing previous answers…that’s quite typical here…even by refreshing the page multiple times ☺️

Also relative to which sound is selected/active at the time you copy paste, and in the case of the computer version also relative to where you might right-click and Paste… quite a mess that makes it really hard to do a simple Paste in many scenarios.
