Loops bpm sync problem

Good evening,

I'm trying to understand why if the tempo of the project in logic is for example 70 bpm and I select any drum loops which by default as in this case is 58 bpm then I put it double in leap 116bpm. it's all in sync so I don't understand, and it sounds very slow... which I would expect to be much faster. In fact, the more I decrease the number of bpm in manual mode, the more it increases.

    If I want a loop to sound twice as fast I put the loop tempo at half 56/2 = 29 bpm. If I want the loop to play at half speed I put the loop tempo at double 56x2=112 bpm. I think this is the question that you are asking;-)

    maybe I explained myself badly, I mean that if I have the logic project time at 70 I would expect to find it at 70 also in the loop (leap). Or am I wrong in my reasoning?

    or at most I would expect 58 bpm within leap. Which would then adjust to 70 bpm, but not double..
