Using Hammer On and Slide with manual midi input

Hello,

I'm confused as to whether I can program in slides or hammer-ons, with Session Bass Prime for example, when manually inputting the notes into the midi editor (Cubase). I know about the key switches if playing in the melody - not sure how to implement them manually. Is that even possible?

    Nevermind - it finally dawned on me to simply add that switch - it works. doesn't sound very good, but problem solved.
