s3 jogwheel behaviour?

Hi team my discussion got closed but I reset the device and this behaviour still persists. I may have accidentally pressed a combination to disable the jog wheels but I am certainly trying hard to re enable them. Let me know what to do- I tried holding down the job wheel and switching the decks but no change.

thanks

    Tap (not hold) 'jog' button.

Hey team - tapping the jog buttons - they light up blue when controlling the main deck - has no effect whatsoever..

They should light up red when deactivating the platter touch, until you switch decks.

nah just show blue when you click them, but regardless it does not effect the Jog wheel operation

On both sides? Press it on the other side and check if a) it lights up red when active and b) pause on platter touch works or not.

no the same behaviour on both sides - the unit was working as expected but now the jogs seem stuck on pitchbend.

Does the traktor midi indicator flash when you touch jog's metall top surface in vinyl mode?

Yeh the midi lights up - the platter is pitch bending the track instead of scratching it when it's playing. When the track is not playing it works completely as you would expect scratching as normal

If you want to test the platter surface, you have to be careful not to turn the platter. Otherwise traktor receives the turning signal and flashes in the top bar anyway. It sounds, like the touch function is broken. When paused, just turning (without touching the top) will scratch, so it works even if touch doesn't work.

so this is how it is - I just fired it up and got it all connected to try to check and now its working perfectly again?? Im not complaining but I would like to know what's going on! Thanks all and have a great day

Worked it out! When you change the sound card while a track is running it gets locked!! (there is a yellow message for a moment)- you need to stop the track, change deck type and back again and back in business!
