They don't talk specifically about external hardware; but this is your starting point:

    https://www.native-instruments.com/ni-tech-manuals/maschine-mk3-manual/en/audio-routing%2C-remote-control%2C-and-macro-controls.html#audio-routing-in-maschine

You're simply going to setup the audio page in settings to have some I/O pointing at your hardware. Pick an empty pad to treat as a "return". The input should be the output from your hardware. Use one of the outputs to go into the input of your hardware.

Be careful if you have anything that adds a even a tiny bit of latency. Not a big deal if sending an entire track out. It becomes quite a big deal if trying to do parallel processing or even just trying to process a single "track" (sound, group, whatever).

I'm actually going through this now.

…and I noticed "locate product content" after doing it manually for A LOT of them. lol.

(that's the bottom left of the Native Access 2 screen)

For some reason it's not finding my expansions; but I'm in the middle of copying from my old drive to a new drive. Maybe it they just haven't completed. Will test shortly

    @caDJun asked:

Is there something specific you're looking for that the FM8 doesn't offer?

Simplicity, tweakability and performance, especially on the M+.

Elektron Machinedrum style FM engines would be lovely!

Have you checked out Maschine Auto Tagger? It’s a 3rd party app that’s like $18 and it automatically tags huge folders of samples. I use it for tagging all my sample collections to use on my M+. It has an AI feature that does a pretty good job of predicting tag categories. Sometimes it won’t correctly label something as a loop so I usually sort by sample duration and manually fix those as needed.

A few ideas that I would like to see:

    1. A note repeat mode - Select a pad to enter into note repeat mode, each pad will trigger the selected sample with note repeat locked with different note division. For example, pad 1 original sample no repeat, pad 2 locked to 1/4 repeat, pad 3 locked to 1/18 repeat, pad 4 locked to 1/1/16 and so on. Include triplet divisions as well spread across all pads. Allow for the user to set up the divisions they want each pad to trigger. This would make it much quicker to create intricate patterns a la Illmind's Battery 3 workflow.

    2. Convert midi patterns to 1/2 speed or 2x speed. This would make it easy to play a pattern created at 80bpm at 160bpm or vice versa.

    3. In standalone, allow an option setting to play patterns at there original tempo when a tempo is specified in the pattens name. This would be great when auditioning expansion patterns

I didn't read all 12 of the pages so, I apologize for any repeats.

If there was support for midi-only plugins (especially midi-only reaktor patches for m+ standalone), then everything from note-repeat to the wildest arpeggiators could be achieved by using midi plugins, everything on a per-pad level.

What would be cool an top is a function to render the output of a midi effect directly to events. So we could choose if we want to be able to adjust a recorded pattern by changing e.g. note repeat parameters afterwards (currently not possible), or to edit the resulting note events inside the editor (like with current internal note repeat / arp).

    1. Time Stretching
    2. Drum Machines(kick,clap etc)
    3. better jammability for live performances
    4. step based parameter locks

Drum Machines (called Drum Synths) and step based parameter locks are already available.

    1. Synced Pattern Change (!)
    2. Improve SAMPLER LFO and MOD:
    - Easy Selecteable destinations (i.e. Shift + Knob = Changes destination)
    - New possbible destinations: Volume, Decay, Sample Start, Loop start/end, etc.
    - Increase rate range (for AM)

Same problem here (i assume it appears to all).

It is a big problem for users like me who create tons of shelf-made material (samples etc).

Look here, some of the work i have done on Maschine 2, with me as vendor on the top, then material from other sources, all tagged and most of them with custom images:

Here is how they look on Maschine 3… awful… all the work is gone!

I have tried re-creation, double and triple folders in NI resources, re-scans…. nothing changes.

Product, Vendor, Author, Type etc. are correct, the info still exists inside the files:

Please fix this, or let us know how we can fix it. I think it's a small issue than can be fixed easily. 🙏

I managed to fix this by taking my komplete.db3 file in the maschine 2 appdata folder (windows) and pasting it into maschine 3

If we got Massive New Default Sound with ability to change Wave Tables and Algorithm with encoders on Maschine 3.0 then it would be great to get more control over FM8& Massive together for Standalone Mode.

Lock States on linear Time Line in Standalone Mode is Amazing, it available in Controller MK3 mode too. You play them in keyboard mode, touch strip and placing them or recording.

    Pro- Amazing Authentic Music

Con- you can Record stems in real time or record Master. It's working for me for more than 5 years.
