Assistive playing tools (or Smart Play as we often called it in previous products) allow you to map all notes to a scale, play chords from a chord set, or automatically augment single notes into tritones or chords.

• What are the assistive playing tools that you use the most?
• What do you find difficult about or are missing with the current features?
• If you could add one assistive playing tools capability to Maschine, what would it be?

Hello and thanks for the opportunity.

I would love to have a nudge value for note repeat. Then I can record a four on the floor with 1/4 notes, and with the same notes just nudged by 1/8 while recording I can make a hi hat in between. Note length would also be fine but for me has no high priority. So it's a little thing but would bring many possibilities.

user defined chord sets have been a long standing request and should be prioritized before other considerations.

I would also like the lightguide ideas from Native Kontrol keyboards incorporated into Maschine

Let me add borrowed chords from other scales, so if I'm working in a parallel mode I can quickly populate pads with relevant chords. So Chord Mode in D Major, with a menu for Add Parallel where I can run through all the D scales and modes and it will add chords from the parallel that aren't already in the chosen key. This is mainly for M+, when I'm playing without a keyboard.

Adding more chord sets as well as user chord sets/arp patterns. Being able to consolidate the piano roll into only the set scale notes.

Not sure if this qualifies as assistive playing tool, but it would be rad if I could change the velocity curve of the pads on the same macro page we edit Fixed Velocity. Some instruments require different levels of touch, this would make adjustments on the fly super easy.

I’ll echo the sentiment that custom user chord banks is top. (As well as more set chord banks added)

Augmenting single notes into chords or tritones would be really nice too

and - not sure if this qualifies in this category, but allowing midi routing so we can use programs like Scaler 2 (or Reaktor!) for more varied smart play assistance

Thanks for doing this.

Saving snapshots of scale, key and octave similar to note repeat. Would love to travel between scale modes at the click of a button instead of scrolling , for more live playing ease and versatility!

Can we please get the Main/master to be visible in the mixer for M+, I'm using a workaround now but doing it this way causes you to loose the solo function.

Also can we get the option to choose what group the solo audio goes through? This would allow us to build a Fx chain then we could solo sounds/groups through it to audition what it would sound like without having to rebuild the chain over and over.

It was perfect to have my own sets of chords, but if we were talking about it, I personally lacked not only my own sets when working with mk3. but it is also possible to make 7 and 9 or 13 from any chord of the scale , and so on .

and the most important thing is to make maсros on macros, I mean using one ecoder to twist 5 or 6 parmeters at the same time, I assume that this can be done through look, but still)
