Can I play Maschine Sounds (.mxsnd files) via Komplete Kontrol?

Hi

There are many cool instruments stored as Sounds (.mxsnd files) in Maschine. Is it possible to play these Sounds in Cubase via Komplete Kontrol? Or will it require me to use Maschine as a plug-in in Cubase?

    Being them Maschine “instruments”, they are not listed in KK (which doesn’t even have a Sounds tab)
