vinyl time code

Hi guys, just setting up my scratch a6 again after briefly using a couple of years ago, and that high pitch, emanating from the vinyl itself is driving me nuts. From what i gather, it seems the high pitch from the vinyl time codes is a given thing. But have any of you guys found a way of toning it down... admittedly have not tried a digital cartridge/needle yet, would it make a difference or another time code vinyl than what it originally came with ?.

Any thoughts or tips would be much appreciated

Sorry mate - that's just how timecode vinyl is.

You're right - it's very annoying if you're trying to play at lower volume.

Cheers Patch, was kinda hoping a specified dj digital cartridge might lower the noise a bit... nevermind.

Has anyone tried an Ortofon concorde mk II digital cartridge, any good. What are you guys using, any other recommendations.

Thanks Lord Carlos, never heard of that one, just googled, looks interesting.

Eliminating the needle and ware on vinyl will save bundles in the long run, and eliminating that annoying high pitch whine, for me is a must... Just taken a wild punt on a second hand one, half price, will be interesting if just what i need
