No signal coming in or going out with Guitar Rig 7?

Just upgraded to guitar rig 7. When I went to try it out, I had no signal coming in or going out. I set my audio inputs and outputs for the Scarlet 2x2 3rd gen, upgraded software drivers, os is up to date. When I try the previous version (guitar rig 6) it works beautifully. If anyone has any advice, I would certainly appreciate it. Thx

    I know this is obvious but I presume you have the audio engine button set to 'on'?

    Something I just noticed. When guitar rig 7 is just idling the cpu monitor is sitting around 29% whereas in the same situation, guitar rig 6 is at 0%
