S49 keys not working with Logic Pro after recent firmware update

Hey all, I have a NI S49 midi controller. I have been using it with logic pro for over a year, no issues. recently, I completed a firmware update for the keyboard and now it won't make any sound or recognize the input of the keys. The patches are loading correctly and I see the same patch loaded on the display as I do in logic. The controller is also recognized in my controller settings and I didn't change any settings.
I followed The "if logic isnt working" apple guide, and no dice.
Anyone have any idea where in Logic I should go to troubleshoot this, or a setting I am maybe missing? Is there something on the midi controller I should be looking at?
Thanks in advance for your time.

Hello,
have you tried this, and re added your midi controller(s), maybe one by one if you have more than one.
If not, you can try resetting the MIDI drivers by going into Logic’s MIDI preferences. You find this in Logic Pro ➞ Preferences ➞ MIDI and pressing Reset All MIDI Drivers.

native instrument support article extension: /hc/en-us/articles/209554829-I-Hear-No-Sound-When-Playing-the-Keys-of-my-Komplete-Kontrol-S-Series-Keyboard (I am new to the community so native won't let me post a link)
I also tried:
Re-install midi controllersUpdate Logic Pro
Check device and software compatibility
Disconnect external devices
Use built-in audio with Logic Pro
Open Logic Pro without audio input and output
Check Mic Mode
Bypass third-party Audio Units plug-ins
Test with a new project
Test with a new user account
Delete the control surfaces PLIST file
Reset Logic Pro settings
Reset the Logic Pro PLIST file
Reinstall the Logic Pro app
I am at a loss. :(

Update, I have plugged in a Novation Launchkey Mini and it works fine in Logic there is no issue at all. This appears to be isolated to the S49 which is really a bummer since the S49 is a much nicer and larger controller with more mapping. I also tried resetting the controller defaults and no luck.

It appears that when I applied the firmware update, the S49 was rebooted in midi 2.0 and that setting (even when I have logic enabled with Midi 2.0) does not work. Swapping to Midi 1.0 and rebooting has solved the issue. Midi 2.0 still doesn't work but at least I have midi 1.0 now!
