My second piece of music… any comment to help me?
Hi everybody, I arrive today with my second song. I tried my best to follow your comments on my first one. I also tried to make something much easier. As a very beginner, I tried to make a simple piece of music… at the level of my knowledge. I also took care about the rythm and the volume of each piece. Would you have any…

Any producers, artists, songwriters wanna collab or connect?
I'm just a hobby bedroom producer/artist but I'm always looking to learn and develop my craft. Looking for other sincere musical seekers, don't have to be super serious but it'd be cool to find people that are sincere about their work and have been doing it for a little while, prioritizing being genuine with their craft…

Share advice you'd give to your newbie self
Forget the fact that this question is itself a paradox. Forget the fact that without the path you’ve taken, you wouldn’t have grown into the kind of artist you’re today - a person who can look back on what you did in the past with more mature eyes and experience. Travel back in time to when you played around with your gear…

Please help me find this song
I'm new here but I thought I'd ask for your guys help on a song I've been looking for quite some time, Hopefully one of you recognize it. Gonna guess this song came out between 1987-1988. I would say its an underground track since I couldn't find it. I remember first hearing it on a news segment in 1989 and the catchy…

Did NI just change the font for their webpage/community?
Fore example, Krabbencutter’s Orfanidis EQ page looks like this. The new font is really aesthetically pleasing. I was starting to get sick of the normal NI font and then they change it to this nice and fresh one, without destroying the look of NI. I hope they keep it this way.

Creepy synth sounds - what's your trick?
Ominous detuned oscillators or pitch bending apocalyptic pads, there is many ways to create spine-chilling atmospheres using synthesis or sampling. What is your favorite trick (or treat), library or preset for making scary sounds? Time to dig into your favorite instruments and setups to create howls, atmospheres, textures,…

My songs are not as good as I want them - What can I improve?
I want to improve. Unfortunately I always compare myself to other producers, who are more professional than me. I recently created my seventh song: The music I make does not get better. I started using modulation on my synth. How have you started creating music? Can you give me some guidance and tips to make better music?…

Ten Minutes
Make time for whatever it is you're creating. I usually just go, okay i'm going to just be in my zone for the next ten minutes and that makes for a great starter. Sometimes it's a sound i hear like a busy station or the sound of raindrops on marble. I also admire that music can be more than just sound like John Cage said…

Finding time to create /make music
I understand that, you need to make your own time, to make things happen. but, GUYS ? how do you organise your time, to make music ? do you have set: days, periods, times, etc...? how do you manage it with/ in your day to day life? I just spend more time thinking about making it, than actually making it. It's always NEXT…

School of Rock - Legend of the Rent (The 18th Musician Mix)
Hi everyone, new to the forum but longtime NI user. In case there are any Jack Black fans on here I thought I would share an expanded cover I did of Jack Black's a cappella Legend of the Rent song from School of Rock. I played all the instruments (except drums) and tracked and mixed using Logic Pro on a M1 MBP with Gallo…

Share your recent NI purchase 🏷
Inspiration is such a volatile element, yet the essence to the process of creation. It comes and goes, and we hardly ever know when. We all have our personal favourites when it comes to studio gear and plugins. However, triggering a new perspective is possible by adopting new composition bits. Let us know which NI software…

Any chance to get insight into a finalized song project for learning purposes?
Feels like this thread could paint me as a very stupid person, but I just don't know what else to do... 😅 Being a complete beginner, getting into music was something I likely did with a pretty naive thinking. K-Pop has always been my favourite music genre and music itself keeps me alive. Eventually, I wanted to make my own…

Musical Note Sheet of Tracks.
I try learning how to read notes, but I simply find it hard for me or maybe I'm not learning it properly. But for me, a person who can play by sound and not following notes, is able to press a key and have the note presented on a sheet as it is played on a certain software would help shrinking a great amount of time taken…
