What percentage of your musical compositions involve the use of AI?

Personally, when I watch videos on YouTube, I’m amazed by programs like Suno or Mureka, which can produce not just a single musical composition but an entire album.

Personally, given the personal investment required to pursue my passion—an investment in DAWs and products like those offered by Native Instruments—I tell myself that I’m lucky to be just a modest, non-professional musician who is accountable only to myself.

I suspect that Cubase, FL Studio, and many others will at least start using AI to generate modules that simplify mixing or the synchronization of instruments

But have you ever found yourself staring at a blank score and wondered if you might have just lost a little bit of your soul as a musician and composer?

This and as soon as I know music or videos are created with AI, I instantly have a dislike to them.

If you have to have a machine generate ideas, what is the actual point of what you are doing? I guess that is what happens in the new generation of mindless kids that just have no actual free thought going on and can now use AI to generate their 'ideas' instead of their own brain. The future of music sounds terrible, literally.

Just playing devil's advocate here, does "involve the use of AI" include tools? Ozone, RX and all the various online mastering tools. Stem splitting? Or do you mean just the initial generation using tools like Suno/Mureka etc?

I’ve tried some of those AI mixing/mastering tools. Every time, my own settings turned out to be preferable over the AI ones. But I’m not a newbie, so I usually know what I’m doing 😉

As for actual music generation tools - this is an abomination, will never use those.

I've used random pattern generators, in Ableton Live and on my Maschine+ but that's about as far as it goes. I decide which random thing suits my needs, and usually give it a small tweak as well.

My compositions are modest, but they are the result of my musical explorations, my curiosity, and my sensitivity.

Because it’s the exchanges, the sharing, the constructive criticism, and the positive encouragement for this passion—as a non-professional composer and musician—with other musicians, not with a machine.

Well much of the stuff made by humans is cliche! People have copied each others styles since the dawn of music itself. Classical composers, big bands, rock & roll, popular beat combos (m'lud), bubblegum pop, glam rock, punk, new romantic, synth bands etc. etc.
