I would like to report what appears to be a reproducible Drag & Drop issue between Maschine 3 (VST3) and Ableton Live 11 on Windows.
System:
Maschine 3 (latest version)
Ableton Live 11 (latest update)
Windows 10
Maschine loaded as a VST3 plugin in Ableton.
Issue:
When I drag audio from the waveform icon (next to the MIDI drag icon) in Maschine to Ableton's Session View, Ableton freezes ("Not Responding") for approximately 10–20 seconds.
After the freeze, the audio is not imported into Ableton.
However, I accidentally discovered a very unusual workaround:
While Ableton is frozen, if I simply move the mouse cursor back over the floating Maschine plugin window (without clicking anything), the drag operation immediately completes successfully and the audio appears correctly in Ableton.
If I do not move the cursor back over the Maschine window, the drag operation usually fails.
This behavior happens consistently on my system and can be reproduced repeatedly.
It seems related to the Drag & Drop interaction between the floating Maschine VST3 window and Ableton Live rather than audio rendering itself.
