Enabling the screens to be driven by third party applications would be very expensive and is not on our roadmap.
Layers in the MIDI implementation should already be possible using Modifiers in the MIDI mapping created in Traktor's Controller Manager.

Thank you for this interesting insight. This looks like another relevant argument to enable custom overmapping for the X1MK3. We have so far not done this because we are still collecting and prioritizing all potential improvement requests.

Please don't kill the screen in MIDI mode, it is super useful to dispaly various settings on X1 and F1.

Yes, you can use the X1MK2 and the X1MK3 side by side and also connect the MK2 to the hub of the MK3.

Great point! We are still collecting feedback to prioritise the potential improvements of MIxer Mode - i.e. giving access to Filters and Mixer FX. Your suggestion of controlling the Cue channels is equally valid and will be added to our backlog of improvement requests.

Great question. While you should not face any problems by connecting something like a Z1 to the X1 MK3 USB hub we still would always recommend to have your audio interface connected directly to your computer (even if using a USB 3 hub). Especially when handling a lot of streams like a full 4 deck setup with 4 stereo down and potential upstreams.

You currently can not create additional custom mappings going beyond the options availbale in the X1MK3 Preferences but we hear you and will consider adding this in a future update.

I missed this reply Stevan, sorry. So are you saying tap Sync button toggles sync, holding it acts as a shift button to use the loop encoders to change BPM i.e. a pitch shift?

You can use the S3 and the X1MK3 side by side.
You can also connect the S3 to the powered USB hub of the X1MK3.

You must individually power every X1 to enable its USB hub, because the external power unlocks the hub functionality only for that device.

After the release of X1 MK2 we realized that the majority of users disabled the touch sensitivity of the knob and preferred to open the browser with a dedicated push of the knob. This is the main reason why we did not strongly push to keep the touch sensitivity on the unit.
