Ask me anything: X1 MK3

I have a question about the hub.
when using one unit, it’s bus power from a usb B cable. Ok.
when powering up the hub, it’s plugged into an outlet which gives you an additional 3 USB A slots from the hub.
now, let’s say you have two X1’s:
- X1 unit one is plugged into a wall outlet
- X1 unit two is daisy chained off X1 unit one
can you then utilise the hub on X1 unit two or does that need to be plugged in as well?

With the removal of the touch strip on the Mk2, how does the Mk3 compensate for this?
thanks

im new here so these are super newb question but is this just a controller for Tracktor? Like Maschine controls Maschine 2 and komplete Kontrol functions with its host app. Is there any inter-connection between the 3? Would I benefit having something like this or is it only for people who are doing live DJ sets?

With nudge buttons.

Where is touchstrip? Why do you remove it?
I use touchstrip for beatmatching and searching throu track and finding cues…
How is it possible now?
Why do you change place of Cue and Sync button?
I don’t wont to move from mk2 to mk3…

Hey, is possible to switch off this back lightning?

Yes, you can switch it off. And you can also set the colour pattern if you want it on.

Oh I know he got the hardware and there was a first look article, but he should be tapped up as an ambassador much more than he is. Not trying to be ironic at all here...
I'd love to see Ean do a full hands on video, rather than the NI PR videos we've been fed this month, but that request has to come from NI.

There is no touch sensivity like in the X1/mk2 ?
Right ? Why ?
This option has been very helpful when scrolling playlists.

Maybe it's about accidental triggering of functions. A friend of mine (a DJ) once complained to me about the touch sensitivity when he was using an X1MK2, said he had to be really careful. I've never used one before, so somebody else needs to confirm this.

By default it switches to large collection browser view when you touch the knob. But you can disable it.
Not sure if there is any drawback to having it in the unit, besides price 🤔

I meant this possibility - switch to a large collection browser when you touch the knob

Once the overmapping capability is in place, you will be able to put in a command to go OnlyBrowser = ON when turning the browse knob and OnlyBrowser = OFF when pressing the knob to load a track. It's a workaround, but it's all right. I've been using this on my K2.
