M 32, Maschine 2, NI Accessibility Helper and Bitwig 4 / 5 Studio MIDI Output Error
When opening Bitwig I get the ever popular MIDI Output Error.
Strangely I went through the steps outlined here to no avail;
https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=577541
After getting frustrated I started to kill the NI Services, one by one and restarting Bitwig while still getting the error, nothing worked until I killed NI Accessibility Helper.
The error has gone away and my Komplete M32 works as expected,
Any ideas why this happens?
PS - I also use Ableton Live, Cakewalk and Waveform 12 with NI Accessibility Helper running and have no issues.

Being NI Accessibility Helper brand new, and knowing NI, probably it hasn’t been tested very well before release. I suspected something like this could happen…

This! I don't install anything if I don't know exactly that I need it.
Only few handicapped users might want to use it.

Wow…that’s quite disrespectful…

Not intended to be disrespectful. Sorry, no native speaker. Doesn't "... enabling producers and beatmakers with visual impairments ..." mean the same? Please see https://www.native-instruments.com/en/specials/ni-accessibility-helper/
Had some severe accidents, so I tend to feel handicapped. What's wrong with that wording?

Ok…I hoped it was something about misunderstanding.
In any case, saying “Only few handicapped users might want to use it.” it’s not really kind. What if they weren’t so few?
Btw: no native speaker here too…and in any language calling them “handicapped” isn’t too nice.
But…ok 👍🏼

Interesting. I thought that without "few" it sounded inappropriate.

No problem, you clarified yourself. And even in my opinion that word has no problems, because I don’t mean anything bad if using it. But it’s not what you or me think, but what they think. So I avoid it, knowing it’s not welcome.
But, as I said, you clarified, so… 👍🏼

At the end of the day I understand your point, though in my language handicapped is not offensive.
As I mentioned after some heavy accidents I tend to feel handicapped. However I don't feel unconfortable if someone asked me whether I'm handicapped. I would rather appreciate some support then. 😉

Hmm, Not quite the response ! was expecting.
Does anyone have any technical information as to what is happening?

The update was done through Native Access. Not sure what you are talking about.

Just double checked it in my NI Access 3.3.1 client: The Accessability Helper is available but not installed.

@AELAGRASSA We didn't get such reports yet. Does it happen only with the M32 and not with Maschine? Can you check if the problem still occurs when the M32 is disconnected?

The error occurs after launching Bitwig Studio 4 when the M32 is connected and the NI Accessibility Helper is running The error does not occur outside of Bitwig 4.
I contacted Bitwig and relayed the issue and now appears to be non existent in the latest release Bitwig Studio 5 Beta 6.

Thanks for the update. Did they mention something was wrong on our end?
