….and if they found a solution, why not posting it here instead of saying again and again to contact the support. Makes it easier for all.

If we ask users to contact support in this case, it is because my colleagues need information on their system and installation. To fix the issues individually and also to try and find a definitive solution to that problem. If there was a solution that would work for everyone, of course we would put it here.

..so here is my solution for Monterey on Mac m1.

    1. Go to the app NI Access 2 and right click
    2. Click on show package contents
    3. Go to Contents->Resources->daemon->mac
    4. Here is the installer: NTKDaemon Installer Mac.pkg
    5. Install. During the install you are asked for the right given permissions, what not happens during the regular install
    6. After Install restart (so i did)

For me it works. Don't blame me if it doesn't work for you. Hope this helps for you. (Again: Monterey on a M1 Mac!)

btw. i read the log files in the native instruments/native access folder in application support and the only error was: could not install NTKDaemon ..... cause of permissions. In the logfile is also the root to the file.

This worked for me on Mac Intel even without having to reboot (step 6). Thanks!

AHM's solution didn't work for me on my Intel Mac running Monterey, and I'm unable to force quit "ntkdaemon" as it doesn't even appear in my activity monitor. Any other Mac users find any other solutions? Bummed since I'd love to start digging into my Komplete software.

@NotDamianHyde, try my solution above, which is slightly different from AHM’s. I didn’t have the NHKDaemon process running either, much as I tried otherwise. This worked and haven’t had any issues since! Good luck!

Sorry N.I. guys, but this is ******!

NATIVE ACCESS 2.4.0 (Apple Silicon) same issue, can't open.

Considering to stop buying upgrades from N.I. they are too late and a lot of plug-ins are buggy.

I have another workaround that worked for me. I am using Windows 10.

I tried the installation of Native Access 2 (Release: 2.4.0) and it stalled with the same message being discussed:

"Dependency installation process is taking longer than normal..."

I tried installing NTK Daemon but it still stalled.

Based on things here I went to Win10 Uninstall programs and found both NTK Daemon and Native Access 2.4.0 in the list and uninstalled both.

    Next I temporarily disabled Win10 "Real-time protection"

I then reinstalled NTK Daemon first, followed by reinstalling Native Access 2.

I also found that I had to be connected to the internet for it to work.

After doing all of that, it did install correctly for me. Hope that is helpful for somebody.

    Hello,

Have same issue. Have Windows 10. Real Time Protection or Firewall desabling doesn't help, reinstalling also doesn't. Haven't got any issues with any app for a long time till that moment. NTKDaemon has no issues during installation. Please help asap as that is unacceptable for such company and software dependent product.

If this helps anyone, found this on their support page. For "dependencies taking normal than usual" issue this one fixed it for me on Mac intel Monterery, but i had to redo it again when i logged in again.

I had the some trouble and after going through all the fixes suggested the only one that worked was installing an earlier version of Native Access and then get Native updated!
