It is funny how the “new design” looks like Reaktor´s Newscool, created in 2005 or so.

So cool back then, by the way.

    Fix the MIDI-Out-Freeze bug.

Is link broken on M3? I can’t connect with anyone through Maschine but Bitwig works fine with link…

    BPM Counter for EXT.Sample-Rec.

Hi, I want to sample from records. Will we be able to have a BPM display in the external Sample Recording-Mode in the next Maschine 3 update? I mean that the Machine 3 software shows me the speed of the original recording using a BPM counter before recording to Maschine.

    No.

I don’t remember to have seen such a feature in any of the hundreds of feature requests or surveys yet.

….i delete my answer, idea section is closed…

@ozon: I had hoped that this would change in 2025.

I had previously asked for a simple midi on/off button in addition to the audio on/off on the pattern name - never came up with anything. That's a shame…..hmm.

I think it would also be a great boost for the entire Maschine community, showing that there's a simple way to import and develop ideas originating from Maschine. ;)

@mpTRONIX tap the tempo in whilst listening to the record.

    • Creating an Instrument from a One-Shot

    This would be really cool.
To be able to create any sound into an instrument.
And Maschine almost achieves that goal, there's just a few things to do to get there.

This could be pretty "simple" to achieve.
It's currently possible to play a one-shot like an instrument.

Just select "gate" and "formant" in the audio module.
    And play in keyboard mode.

The problem is that the audio module loops the one-shot.
When playing, the audio module starts and is only heard when a pad is activated, it's as if the audio track was muted and activating a pad activates the sound.

When using auto-sampling, it expresses the duration in seconds.
Practical for everything except for auto-sampling the audio module which sets the sample duration to the BPM.

I obviously tried to set the sample to a BPM of 120, which represents 2 seconds for 1 bar.
And launched the auto-sampling procedure on a time of 2 seconds.

    Unfortunately, there is a lag.

The main axes to achieve creating an instrument from a one-shot would be:

    • To be able to auto-sample to the rhythm, choosing either the time in seconds or the time in bars.
    • To be able to switch the audio module to one-shot or ADSR, without creating an endless audio loop.

    gemini ai finish by this

    • Summary of the request
The user is seeking a way to create a more seamless process for turning one-shot samples into playable instruments within a software like Maschine. They're specifically looking for ways to:
    • Synchronize sample duration: Accurately match the sample length to the project's BPM without introducing latency.
    • Control playback mode: Switch between one-shot and looping modes to fit different musical contexts.
    • Simplify the workflow: Streamline the process of creating and editing these custom instruments.
In essence, the user wants to create a more flexible and intuitive system for transforming individual sound samples into fully playable instruments.

I think this issue will be the perfect litmus test for where NI is at and where it could be going to.

These same issues have been a pain for me. Almost half the VSTs I use end up being unusable due to the window scaling. I'm on Windows 11.

If the comments I see on various forums is actually the case, then I feel many people feel abandoned by NI and are looking elsewhere. A very sad and unnecessary state of affairs………………….

Looking at alot of NI's other products, soft- and hardware, its mindblowing how they can release M3 with the darkest interface i have ever seen, and NOT give the option to change it. wow…..thats a major fail. I really hope the change that part.

"the darkest interface i have ever seen"

You've not seen any of the Ableton Live, Bitwig or Cubase (etc) themes over the past few years then? Many of those are at least as dark, and some go even darker.
