Maschine - export project to Ableton Live?
Hello,
Ableton has SDK that's allows third party developers to add export to Ableton Live project to their products. In portfolio are some big names like Korg Gadget/Korg Electribes or MPC.
So why not Maschine? Native Instruments is not planning transform Maschine as fully fledge DAW, so why not to make life of Maschine user easier?
What you think? :)

That would save me so much time! Ready to pay for that update another $30

I think that something like this could be new super power in hands of Maschine producers. For example If Maschine 3 SW/Maschine+ could export their projects directly to Ableton Live some user will be returning to the system and some new heads show up after time. Win win for both us and NI.

l agree that this is urgently needed. If Maschine doesn’t want to be a DAW but an ideas generator, they need to make it easy to move those ideas into a proper DAW. Live would be a great choice, Korg does it perfectly btw

Developers can request access to SDK:
I forget that Force also has ability to export project directly:

i fully support this idea. 👍 makes also perfectly sense for maschine eco system.

Even Koala Sampler has this…Really this could be so much helpful!

yeah I especially enjoy exporting to Drum Rack and MIDI files, so I can almost seamlessly continue fiddling in Ableton.
I would love to see that for the Maschine, Live set export that renders sound tracks as clips, instruments as midi plus Kontakt/KK, and groups as Drum Racks plus midi.

You were looking for inspiration and development ideas so this could be good inspiration ;-)

Yesterday, I spent a significant amount of time trying to migrate my project to Ableton Live, and the process turned out to be more challenging than expected. Even simple drag-and-drop operations can be time-consuming. Sometimes, the warping algorithm detects the wrong tempo, requiring manual adjustments. Additionally, it's easy to lose the pre-mix balance and proper gain staging during the transfer. While I like how my mix sounds inside Maschine, the transfer process tends to mess it up somehow.
That said, this type of export could still be beneficial, especially for Maschine+, where projects are designed for standalone workflows. Transferring tracks into Ableton Live could serve as an opportunity to elevate the production further.

If Maschine 3 introduced the option to export projects to Ableton Live, the entire community would benefit. Professional work often requires, at a certain stage, shifting focus away from MIDI and virtual instruments to concentrate on audio and mixing recordings. Look at the careers of artists like Philippe Zdar (RIP), DJ Mehdi (RIP), or Stuart Price (Les Rythmes Digitales). Nearly all of them achieved success in music not only through their choice of samples and sounds but also thanks to great mixes. Audio is the foundation of creating professional recordings. Maschine 3 with Ableton Live audio export capabilities would represent the next level in the evolution of the system and the community around it.

Let’s be honest - you are slow in terms of updates and developments. If you really want to sell Maschine to new user base you need to change focus. Bounce audio and export to Ableton Project could be so beneficial. I hope my idea will spark some new energy somehow.

After years, I finally bought the Akai Force. The device isn't perfect, but for playing with a hybrid DJ setup, there's probably nothing better. Right now, I'll try to use the bounce to audio option and import my projects that way, but I have to say – native support for exporting to an Ableton Live project would be really useful at this point. :)
The response Chris gave me in the thread about the future of Maschine+ doesn't close the door and should probably be taken as a positive sign – on the other hand, there were no specifics. Just information that the idea has been added to the long list of changes and suggestions for the Maschine 3 software and Maschine+ itself.

I bought a 2nd hand push 3 SA, I installed Live 11 suite on it and I must say it’s a beast. A bit more complicated of course, haven’t used Live before, finish tracks in Logic, but I always export all pads/channels as wav, and I must say I’m starting to like Live more and more the more I understand that daw. And they’re awesome to use together in a live setup.

I love Live — as a sampler, live tool, and sound-mangling device — not as a DAW per se. But since I have Ableton Move and have really dived deep into the ecosystem with Ableton Note, I have to say that Live is truly great. Still, I prefer Logic and its stock plugins when it comes to mixing.
Anyway, I really hope someone at NI sees the potential and benefits of having a faster way to move audio between DAWs. More and more DAWs are now adopting the DAW.project file format, which feels like the future — and arguably something even more important than stem separation. 👍

Suggestion: using Live on a computer could help even more to understand it
