4. Utility to reduce a stereo source to mono (plus left/right only and mix button)
In the mean time, use my Stereo Utility ensemble from the RUL

I mean thread OP werent asking for more new ideas. It was just mention that 'Ideas' section is closed now. I suppose nobody at NI will read and process this huge list of unrelated single-user-wish requests. So there is no point in wasting time and efforts on posting new wishes, no amount of magic will make them come true.

The glass is half empty, isn’t it?

yes, thank you so much for this, avid user already and much appreciated!! Single most useful user contribution to the Maschine ecosystem!!
Of course this still requires loading an instance of Reaktor which should in principle be unnecessary for a simple function like stereo to mono (and particularly on the M+)

I think most would agree that when clicking on a big colourful forum banner that says "Let's talk about your ideas for Maschine", it would be a suitable place to talk about ideas for Maschine…

Yes, exactly! 😃

Only 3 wishes ATM that come to mind.
- Set Tail on export of Master .. ATM it is 5 second fixed.
- Midi-Note probability .. set Note-probability in % to get generative variations of a Sound pattern.
- Random Modulator

My idea for the next update would be to use the beautiful screens and knobs and have a modulation/automation page where you see the curves of an automation section that makes use of the knobs. The same idea towards an EQ where you see the EQ and the knobs can change the ranges with the big encoder that moves left and right and the one of 8 encoders controls the parameters. The hardware exists already because you gave us the 2 screens and 8 endless encoders on Maschine mk3 and the Plus now it's just making Maschine a top competitor in the groove box category. Ive been rocking with Maschine and NI since the beginning and im absolutely one of many wanting this software to elevate to where we can just make everything in Maschine and mix in Maschine, its hopefully looking like its going that way but please don't make us wait a year for these update we waited 11 for this and I still have hope y'all will get it right and focus on instruments and integration so we leave you alone in the comments on what we want from this company…. thank you

oh and
7. Ability to move notes up and down the grid between pads in controller mode and standalone. This is (alongside the missing Stereo to Mono feature and proper time stretch in Sampler) one of the most glaring and long standing QoL omissions for me at the moment (and the cut paste workaround is really not the same…)
I think NI really need to decide at some point if Maschine is supposed to be a great sampling groove box or an average sample pack DAW player.
At the moment it is a mediocre, aging sampling groove box (despite stems) or, depending on perspective, a below average sample pack player with no signs of ambition towards integration into more comprehensive workflows.
The latest round of features left that open.
I want it to be a great sampling groove box.

Your remark that it would be nice if NI could communicate clearly where they will go with the Maschine is spot on. For what it is worth, I could live with Maschine hardware and software drift apart. In a way that the software version grows to a DAW while the Maschine hardware is the mobile idea generating device which capabilities are greatly extended once back in the studio and connected to the computer. A bit like Ableton Push, that doesn't support the arranger view functionality of Live, or the Move with even a more reduced feature set. Maybe it's because Ableton started with Live and the hardware (Push 1) came much later to compliment the software that they have this approach and are clear about it. On the other hand Akai started out with hardware in the first place and seems to have it's focus on the hardware side and then we see that the desktop MPC 2 and Beats software is falling behind.
I think it's inevitable that hardware and software will grow apart because on the software side people bring their own devices and NI can develop whatever they want as long as it runs smoothly on modern Mac's and PC's that people buy themselves. On the hardware side NI has to deal with the hardware restrictions that the Maschine Plus has by design, because it's basically an old computer by now. A new M+ model would improve that, but the lifecycle of self designed hardware is much longer because understandably they don't have the hardware design power that a company like Apple or Acer or HP has (to name a few).
Anyway, NI beïng clear about their focus when it comes to Maschine SW and HW would be nice.
Until then I will keep asking for a more convenient way to record some audio tracks in M+ 😉😁. For me having the M+ as a fantastic 'producing idea's on the couch' device while the misses watches TV and then walk to the studio to start Maschine Software and add those nice guitar and vocal tracks would totally make my day!! (and that of the misses because she would see me more often. How is that NI! You can save a marriage! 😊)5 -
What do you mean by the last sentence?

Agree with most of features laid out here. What about effect visualizations like EQ curves compressor etc?
Some effects are already visualized in software, such as compression, maximizer/limiter if I remember correctly. At least would be great to receive these first, as they already exist, just add them to M+ standalone screens.

Exactly, the idea is to take advantage of the M+ screens... perhaps also adding a new plug-in that allows for more advanced equalization (I'm not saying add neutron, but is a simple spectrum analyzer on the master that complicated?)

That having a way of quickly arming and recording tracks, and repair mistakes in playing by punch in/out, start the recording at a certain point in the song etc… would make my day!
I know that there's a lot possible with clips. But it's not like quickly jamming in a couple of tracks while in the flow of the song and do some quick repairs here and there. For instance, start a few bars before the chorus and then rerecord the vocals of that chorus (with the MIDI parts catching up).4
