Native Access 3.8.0 now live!

I've never had a problem with Native Access, but I did today - trying to update a product for the first time (Kontakt 7.7.3). Queue is the only word in the English language with two repeating vowels, but "Enqueueing" is definately not a real word.
Basically. will not even start the update - Windows 11.
On Windows 11, but I can confirm window resizing works for me - thank the stars.

Still the worst of the worst.

Just updated native access to 3.8.0.
I had 10 items to update, 9 were kontakt based and Maschine2 which is an app and vst.
Only 3 installed and the rest failed for the usual idiot reason of "update failed: could not uninstall previous version".
The 3 that installed were in the same Kontakt libs folder as the 6 that failed.
You can, sometimes, manage to install items, yet seem incapable of updating that item.
WHY?
Drives me insane, i spend more time faffing about with native access and its stupidities than i do with all my other music software altogether(and i have a huge amount of other software).

Hey, thanks for this insight. I've escalated this to my team. Seems like Private Relay's security doesn't play nice with our download flow... We'll investigate and see what's going on!

Yay 3.8
Now can you implement that it can start NTKDaemon service with elevated rights instead with the normal user, so it doesn't have to execute the NTKDaemon setup file EACH TIME you start Native Access on Windows.
This is just plain stupid.

This is due to what I just posted. Native Access is not able to start the service.
It tries to execute sc start NTKDaemonService if the service isn't running, but as it does it with normal user rights, and you can't elevate from cmd.exe it fails, extracts 2 bat files, runs those with elevated prompts, runs through the NTKDaemon setup again ...
If they just checked if the NTKDaemonService was running, and asked with elevation to start that one. We wouldn't have to go through this whole thing.
Better yet, if the service would keep itself alive, we wouldn't either.
Anyway, check services.msc for the NTKDaemonService, start it, then run Native Access and it doesn't do it anymore.

Thank you for issuing the update. I've sent a request for trougbleshooting, but since the update, I am not able to download any updates for or install any new plugins. It has complete disk access. Mac M1 Sonoma.

Update is significantly worse for me on Sonoma. Any attempt to update now instantly fails.
Before it worked sometimes, which was nice :)

Relieved that it's not just me, but it would've been much better not having the problem at all. What could it be causing the plugins not to be downloadable or updatable?

I am busy updating, but it didn't say it failed, so it seems to be working for me. 🤞

Of course, after I posted that it started working 🤷♂️

I'd got Task Manager up all the time and NTKDaemon.exe was running continuously which seemed odd ass it being stopped was my first thought too.

And now it's stopped working again. Installation fails and it tells me to grant full disk access to NA and NTK daemon.
Problem is they both already have full disk access.
Truly fantastic software, this. :)
