Native Access 3.8.0 now live!
Hi all.
3.8.0 has finally been shipped! This is the release that we hope should address some download issues, and officially supports Sonoma for MacOS. We did a lot of work on the tech behind the scenes, so we're monitoring this version very closely. We welcome any bug reports through our support workflow here, so we can continue to address Sonoma/download bugs that might appear as a result of all of the changes.
We initially promised this version in mid November. During testing we encountered a few blocking bugs that were easily reproduceable and needed immediate attention, and as a result had to delay a few times. To remediate this, we added even more quality of life elements to this release, such as most if not all of the minor feedback given during our Quarterly update, and an improvement to the NA startup experience. See our Release Notes to see everything that's been changed.
If you encounter an issue updating, where on startup you get "Unable to start the NTK Daemon" screen, try quitting the NTK Daemon process and restarting Native Access. Hopefully that should resolve matters. If not, reach out to support so we can assist you there!
Thank you all for your patience, and let us know how the experience is for you!

Awesome, thanks guys!!!
Really great seeing Sonoma support - however it really would make sense to put that big of a deal into the release notes ;)

My usual request: Can we PLEASE finally get an option that the window size is being saved? Every time I have to resize the application window again, when I start Natice Access...

+100.
I get three different sizes that seem to cycle through three different launch cycles. It basically never opens the same way twice.
AND - for all those Mac folks looking to go to Sonoma - if 3.80 IS actually certified now - please start updating this properly:

I am guessing there is a whole lot more product now tested than this listing shows.

@Vocalpoint We are updating that ASAP!
@chk071 If this is in reference to Native Access, I believe on Windows this should already work as intended. I'll have a look on MacOS. Feel free to file a feature request if you have other requests, as through this form our whole team is informed. I'll internally file it as a bug if I find that it's not working as intended as well!

Mmm. Will it be the NA release that make me install (finally) NA3 ?
I’m in Sonoma and still in NA1… But there are more and more stuff I can’t install…
curious about some users feedback…

Looks ok here on Sonoma (Intel Mac), installed, restarted and didn't get the old "need to install dependencies" message :)
OK on PC too

Where can you find the 3.8 version to download?

Open your native access. After a few seconds, I got a notification to restart the app after updating at the top right and I just clicked on that.

You may not know and this may not be the right place for the question but any word on Sonoma for the apps we'll be downloading through native access? Namely Maschine etc? As far as I can tell the specific software that I would want to download on native access is not yet compatible with Sonoma. So I can have native access but not the stuff it allows me to download.
thanks for your work friend

Obv it makes sense for the download manager and installer to be compatible first but just curious if that means that there is a known timeline for the rest of the software

Just keep checking here:

Unfortunately, it doesn't work here (saving the window size). I'm on Windows 11.

Still can't download anything on MacOS Sonoma with the latest Native Access. I've just bought the whole Epic Orchestral Collection and all it says is "download failed". It's really frustrating and to be honest, really unacceptable!

I thought that the installation of the Native Access 3.8.0 were going to hang because it kept going on a little longer with the dependencies installation than I liked but then it suddenly finished and it were alright. Also , I can not remember if that is usual behavior for Native Access installation but this one woke up sleeping hard disks that it was not installing on , but come to think of it then maybe it did it because that is where my N.I. content is so the installer probably did so for a good reason anyway ! 🙂
So all in all another rather smooth installation on my computer (using Windows 10 , 64 bit !) !

@Hayo_NI There's something weird happening with 3.8 here on Windows 11 23H2. When starting NA I usually get the "Application is ready" window then the NA UI shows which is what I'd expect.
Other times I get window showing "Setting up Native Access" followed by a UAC prompt for Windows Command Processor then a window showing "Starting Dependencies" then NA starts.
Occasionally I get a login prompt as well.
Retaining size/position seems to work most of the time, then it forgets.
This is tested just opening and closing NA, not starting or using any other applications.
