Komplete Kontrol stuck in Demo mode

Hi everyone,

I recently bought a second-hand S61 Mk2 and I didn’t get a license transfer ID from the previous owner.

Without knowing I might've just screwed myself but I don't know enough to know how…

First - I tried downloading Komplete Kontrol off of NI website. it appeared in NA but only in demo mode. So I tried to get Komplete Kontrol working properly by purchasing Komplete Select 15.

After purchasing it looks like all the bundled instruments etc that come with KS15 show up, but Komplete Kontrol was still in demo mode…

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

• Uninstalled Komplete Kontrol completely.
• Manually deleted:
  • Application folders
  • Plug-in files (.vst, .vst3, .component, .dll)
  • Komplete Kontrol support folders
  • Native Access cache
• Reinstalled Native Access.
  

Has anyone run into this before? Do I need NI support to reset Komplete Kontrol on my account so it shows up under Not Installed with a proper Install button? Or is there another workaround I’m missing?

Off the top - you usually need a "base product" to get any paid version of Komplete going and in many cases - that product is the keyboard. If it is not registered to your account - you cannot "register" Select past Demo mode.

But if you bought Select straight up - AND it appears under Registered Products in your NI account - the products should be installable without a base product.

You need to let us know what you see under Registered Products in your master NI account.

Failing this - recommend you reach out to NI Support as soon as you get a chance and log a ticket.
