I’m new to recording in Traktor and was looking for any information on how to set this up.
I’m trying to record specific samples from different tracks, that I’ve generated stems for.i have muted everything except for the vocals in each stem. I’m trying to record this in a sequence (like notes on a timeline in machine) and then have scratches in between the samples. Basic Boom Bap stuff. Originally I thought the ideal approach to get this done would be to drag the samples I want into a remix deck, however, I noticed that stems are unable to be brought into remix decks. Also, I noticed that there is no count in option….prior to starting recordings. Not sure if this option and other DJ software…. sinceI’m coming from Maschine, it’s not something I’m used to. More to the point, is there any way of setting this up…. having the samples on a grid of some sort and then recording cuts in between? I also tried moving the samples into the machine software itself and play them like Notes via the sampler module, but it seems like the files are not compatible. Any help regarding this would be much Appreciated.
