Native Access "installation failed" on all updates after upgrade to Mac Sequoia
After update from Sonoma to Sequoia on M1 Mac, Native Access fails to update any available updates with this message: "Installation Failed: You may need to grant full disk access to Native Access and the Daemon. Follow these steps and try again".
I verified that they were all granted full disk access and still failing, so I deleted them from full disk access, then I downloaded and reinstalled Native Access 2 (M1 version), and restarted, then added these back into full disk access again: Native Access, NIHardwareAgent, NIHostintegrationAgent, and NTKDaemon, and restarted again.
That didn't work, so I Googled around and someone suggested I delete the preference file /Library/Preferences/com.native-instruments.product-list.plist, but I could not find any file with a similar name on my system.
Lastly I tried opening up permissions (read/write to everyone) on my home Library and Documents folders, and that didn't help. So I'm stuck.

It’s probably due to this

Have you got any solution so far ? I'm literally stuck in the same situation as you were

Be sure that you are using latest version of Native Access for your OS
Also then you ought to do all the Mac users must do when using N.I. software :
ALL NI apps including NTKDaemon must have full disk access. : How to Enable Full Disk Access on macOS and disks must be of correct format : Notes on Network Drives and Disk Formats
Also then please check that iCloud Private Relay has been turned off : Native Access Error Message: "Download failed" (macOS)
Also then do not use Clean My Mac. (if having used CleanMyMac then you might have to reinstall the problem products)
And quote Kymeia : if using Sequoia then N.I. apps must be added to the Local Network
If the problem persists then please contact N.I. Native Access and Installation Support .

Is there anything else I can try ?
The if using Sequoia then N.I. apps must be added to the Local Network is very important for things to work
Else then if your disks is of correct format and you have done the rest then left to suggest is checking disk space (including what is taken by 'snapshots') then I can not think of anything else immediately.
(the following may not fit your OS edition) reffahcs 2024-03-07 (instruction screenshots included in the original post)
Check with Disk Utility to see if you have any snapshots that are taking up space.
You'll have to enable show snapshots first though if you haven't already.
You can also verify this by going to the terminal and typing du -H
If NA is complaining about disk space, more than likely you will see a difference in free space in the terminal compared to Disk Utility.
Else then please contact N.I. Native Access and Installation Support .

First of all thank, you very much for your quick repply.
When you say "The if using Sequoia then N.I. apps must be added to the local network is very important for things to work", what do you exactly mean ? :/ I downloaded NA on my computer, not on an external Storage. Is that what you meant ? :/
This is so borin because I'm literally on it for the past hours and I don't understand why I'm still struggling on it.

I mean that as far as I know then if not adding the apps e.g. Native Access/NTKDaemon to the local network then things may not work for you (I linked to the Quote Kymeia thread , check first post in thread)

Yes alas that is also a known issue that it can be hard to get the apps added to the LocalNetwork which is also mentioned somewhere in the Quote Kymeia thread
But Kymeia is trying to help someone getting it added from here and forward maybe read that thread to hopefully get it added ?

Hey there,
Sorry I had to get to work.
None of this worked unfortunately... Like, I did not get any popup that asked me to get the app added in my local network…

That's bad , in particular since though there is a chance that it is the cause or the issue then we don't even know id it will actually fix the issue. I am handicapped here by only being able to provide general advice and general guidance , I don't even have a Mac or Sequoia. You could try asking Kymeia if he has more tips or perhaps better then contact N.I. Native Access and Installation Support at once.
