own ozone 11 via komplete 15 , but cannot authorize.
I own komplete15 which includes izotope ozone 11 standard, but i run mac os 10.15.7 (catalina) so native access doesn't show ozone 11. however, i while installing some izotope plugins via product portal, i was able to install ozone 11 standard as a demo and it works fine in protools. so i need to know how to authorize it since it doesnt show up in native access, as i already own it as part of (komplete 15).

I have never needed to authorize anything in Native Access. Everything can be authorized in Product Portal.

@Vocalpoint thanks for your response. I double checked and Ozone 11 standard doesn't show up in Izotope Product Portal in the "My Products" tab, however it does show up in the Izotope Product Portal "Trials" tab which is how i installed it and was able to verify it works on my OS. It's as if Izotope Product Portal doesn't know about my NI Komplete 15 license (which includes Ozone 11 standard).
NI's Native Access (Native Instrument's Product Portal equivalent) did show Ozone 11 when i had mac OS 13, but i had to downgrade to mac OS 10.15.7 due to unrelated reasons, and NI Native Access only shows products that it says are "compatible with my OS". While not officially supported, i've verified that it works, and since i technically own a license i just need to find a way to authorize it, since its not showing up NI's Access Portal or Izotope Product Portal with my OS.
Thanks again for your reply and any additional info is greatly appreciated :)0 -
You should check and see if you actually have product listed in your iZotope account - rather than your NA account. Log in at www.izotope.com and see if there is anything there.
If not - it will be time to get a supported OS so you can use Native Access v3.16+ and perform the correct authorization. NI and iZotope are now finally moving their stuff together so it appears that if you received Ozone via your K15 bundle - stands to reason that you will need NA v3.16 to authorize now and not Product Portal.
Also - do not assume all will be fine by still using NA v1 either - that version will be shut down permanently on Feb 29 - leaving you high and dry for ANY authorization.
Gentle suggestion to ensure you move to NA v3.16+ by then.

As far as I know then N.I. and iZotope sites are not fully merged yet.
So for the time being then as suggested by VocalPoint and as already written by yourself then you need Native Access 2 (Version 3.x.x) for installing the Ozone 11. And I do not think that that is going to change , rather I personally expect iZoptope Product Portal to be retired once that the merge of the sites is over so that people have to use Native Access for everything. (but I could be wrong since it to some extend makes sense with iZotope PP activation for some products)
If you need any clarification then you will have to ask N.I. Native Access and Installation Support who are also those to ask if you have any N.I. site iZotope license questions. In case that you need guidance contacting support : How to contact NI Support and How to get in touch with our Customer Care

thanks for your insights @PoorFellow & @Vocalpoint … yea i've got Native Access 3.5.3 (designated for Catalina), and don't have the option to upgrade my OS for workflow-specific reason (full discloser its due to not being able to go above reason 10 (rewire is essential to my workflow , and the new reason racks plugin doesn't do what i need from reason) …
However i've got what is hopefully good news, although i won't know for sure until the Ozone 11 trial (which was only way i could get it installed) ends in 7 days…. getting Ozone 11 trial installed via Izotope Product Portal seems to have somehow enabled Native Access to see it, as it now shows in Native Access. Hopefully the installed trial version will be recognized as full licensed version rather than trial version, upon trial ending (as i own komplete 15 license). The fact Native Access now sees it is promising being that the only overlap between the installed trial version and Native Access is my Komplete 15 license.
One interesting item to note is that in Native Access, for any of the other komplete 15 products, clicking the 3 dots gives an option to "Re-Install", whereas for Ozone 11 it does not. So installing as trial version seems to be only way to get it installed in this scenario.1 -
Pretty certain that trial will end without any good news. And note that Ozone 11 is not supported under your OS either. Many other recent NI products fall into this category as well.
If you cannot update your OS for workflow reasons - and cannot update to the most recent Native Access - you will be kneecapping any ability to really get the most from your new Komplete 15 package.
Good luck.

@Vocalpoint , i appreciate your input, and hoping for a good outcome to this as a longtime Native Instruments & Izotope customer….. however if ozone 11 doesnt authorize after the trial ends that will be disappointing at best and extremely suspicious at worst… the fact that native access 3.5.3 "can't see" Ozone 11 when installing komplete 15, but all of a sudden "magically sees it" when i install ozone 11 outside Native Access (via izotope product manager) proves that Native Access has the capability to see it. Being that Native Access only purpose is for install / authorization, if its true that Native Access can't see it then Ozone 11 shouldn't magically become visible in Native Access after installing via Izotope Product Manager.

Well - like I mentioned earlier in the thread - I have never used NA to ever authorize anything from iZotope and my OS and Native Access are right up to date.
None of my 15 iZotope products appears in NA either.
Product Portal is all I use and have ever used. And it is working 100% at this moment.
Your situation is much too complex to try to follow. All I do know is when that trial ends - and it will - Native Access most likely won't be able to authorize that product on that OS - as it is not supported.
I know the NI/iZotope account merging activities are ongoing - but it will be a long while before any iZotope users with lots of product (like me) will ever be able to use NA to manage them.

@babyjackson Have you tried entering the Ozone serial number into Product Portal?

OP is still running Catalina - and Ozone 11 (or the latest NA) is not supported under that OS.
Be curious to see where this goes. But it feels to me like a not exactly "positive ending" is coming soon.

Hi @Vocalpoint , thanks again for your response , talking through this helps bring clarity.
Regarding your comment "None of my 15 iZotope products appears in NA either"
The thing is, after i install Ozone 11 trial in izotope product manager, it DOES show up in Native Access which proves Native Access itself isn't the issue, rather a refusal of NI to even allow authorization, even in the case for a product for which they make no promises (what "not supported" used to mean) but might work flawlessly. It seems absurd for "not supported" to not mean "hey, this likely won't work and if it doesn't we will not assist", and instead for it to mean "hey, even if you install this and it happens to work perfectly we will refuse to authorize it".
And in izotope Product Portal there's a Buy Now button next to the trial, which i could buy & authorize in Izotope right now, since as mentioned Ozone 11 is working flawlessly in Catalina. In a perfect world everyone will have up to date OS at any given time, but given those with large workflows and needing to maintain/ensure full compatibility on day to day basis, that is not always possible.
Even more frustrating, i've tried opening a ticket with NI and am limited to something like 256 characters which makes explaining this impossible.0 -
An ideal solution for a company open to returning loyalty for long term customers if nobody else, would be to acknowledge my Ozone 11 standard license which i got from purchasing NI 15, and in this case grant the possibility for me to authorize via Izotope Product Portal. If for no other reason than my above observations and being a long term customer.
Hoping for the best, and thanks for hearing me out @Vocalpoint , as i know you aren't directly associated with NI .0 -
@Vocalpoint Having said that, anything you can do to point directly-associated NI representatives to this post would be greatly appreciated. I would like them to respond directly and a 256 character ticket makes this thoroughly impossible through their support ticket process.
