Nice shares guys. For once, I actually got to dig deeper into the endless possibilities of Maschine and MK3. I super regret not having worked with my MK3 and save my eyes from the distractions of the computer screen. Although it was a challenge in and of itself to pick a trick or tip, but the whole experience of surfacing hidden gems of my MK3 is one that has shown me my potential and passion to keep making music. So thanks Native Instruments for the opportunity for us musicians to connect and share our DIY’s, shortcut, and creative dabblings lol. I really needed this time to learn from others way of doing things and light hearted humor especially took the burden off my wrestling with life’s stresses, so please keep this forum up for future reference. Here is how I like to operate my Maschine+ with external drum machines.

The Maschine+ is the brain of the setup where patterns are created and saved, as well as the external gear’s parameters.

No need to remember what is your drum machine project that matches your machine project.

Everything saved on the Maschine+ keeps the project organized.

I am using the UNO drum in this example and works perfectly.

1. How To Reset A Control

For The Experimental

Sometimes, the best course of action is simply to start from scratch. The easiest way to do this is to reset a control or parameter. Kontakt easily allows this to be done by simply using the following key command - Mac (CMD + Click) PC (CTRL + Click).

2. How To Finely Adjust A Control

For The Perfectionist

More often then not you can obsess over the finest details and smallest of parameter changes. This is were Fine adjust can come in useful by just using the following key command - Mac (SHIFT + Click) PC (SHIFT + Click).

I use an AKAI MPD32 as a midi controller to control all of the subtile controls for brass and string section section attacks and slurs. For a keyboard controller I also use an Aturia 61 mk3 controller. While not as versatile as the AKAI it still allows me to save midi controller configurations for my NI instrument midi configurable patches. I've been looking at the Kontrol S61 since it uses Midi 2.0 and is compatible with Digital Performer 11.22. I am going to assume that the midi controllers are already preprogrammed into the keyboard switches and knobs assuming that this hardware uses Midi 2.0. MPE anyone?
