Native Access Demo mode
Hello, I don't know if anyone can help. I'm in the middle of a mixing project that has to go to mastering tonight. I just opened the DAW at it says I don't have my Native Instruments registered! I clicked on register and went to my Native Access and my instruments seem to be in demo mode. It won't let me install again. It also no longer has Kontakt or 7 in my list. Absolute nightmare that may cost me the job I'm doing! Hope you can help.

Mac or Windows?
If Windows, you can try a quick thing I do every couple of weeks: run SFC /scannow from command line. This fixes permission issues most of the time. try logging into your main N.I. website account to make sure your account is safe and not hacked or replaced by somebody else (it happens). I think there is a 'trash prefs' thing you can try, but I don't have the link to share, unfortunately. Hopefully somebody else who has gone through this will chime in for you. If you just updated your PC/Mac, arguably you could try rolling back, but not sure that would help.

You might try the stuff noted in this post:

Thank you, I'll try, but so strange as nothing has changed on my Mac, worked last night and the past year, but today everything started saying I wasn't registered. Then instruments saying demo mode in Native Access, yet when I look at my account it says I have purchased Ultimate. I have no idea why it would suddenly change change. always the way when you have a deadline looming a huge spanner gets thrown in the works! As I'm typing I'm swapping out all my Native Instruments libraries, for Labs etc in the hope I can save the project deadline. Really not happy! Thank you for the replies I hope something works.

Make sure you have macOS to NOT auto update, also.

You could try Jeremy_NI's latest invention :
It looks like the Native Access.xml file downloaded by NA is damaged/incomplete.
In this example it is missing the Kontakt 7 entries, please try the following:
Delete the Native Access.xml in the following location and restart your computer and open NA
Windows: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments\Service Center
Mac: Macintosh HD > Library > Application Support > Native Instruments > Service Center
Repeat until the missing products reappear/the products in demo recognise their activation again.
If this doesn't work, please download this zip file, unzip it and and replace your xml file with this one.
Open Kontakt, are all your products showing?
Else you can try the following Trouble shooter here : My Products Are Showing As DEMO in Native Access , especially '2. Your activation fails because of corrupted or missing activation tokens' and '3. You have corrupted XML files' (delete both NA XML and offending Kontakt product XML) then restart computer and log in again to see if that helps
Else if problem persists or if then contact N.I. Native Access and Installation Support and have them help fix the mess !
There has just been introduced chat support for Native Access assistance (at least daytime on normal work days) :
Quote : For assistance with purchases, accounts, and Native Access, you'll have an option to initiate a chat session. Simply click on the chat icon located at the bottom right corner, and you'll be assisted by a virtual assistant. If your issue remains unresolved after consulting our help articles, a human chat agent will be available to assist you.
Please refer to the page : How to get in touch with our Customer Care or read my Support page functionality changes post here !

Thank you everyone, it's got me this one, I haven't changed a thing, no updates, software changes, nothing, just suddenly unauthorised my products! Such a massive pain as I need them for work. I've asked NI for support. I downloaded Native access on my office PC, logged in and all the instruments are visible to download, but when I go back to the Mac it says Demo! And doesn't show all the products, It's driving me crazy!!
I've uninstalled Access and re-installed but no luck. So odd.

Here's a screen shot from my Native Access, but when I go to licences it says I have Ultimate, why do you think they demo if I have Ultimate? Hope you can help. Matt

Your activation fails because of corrupted or missing activation tokens' and '3. You have corrupted XML files' (delete both NA XML and offending Kontakt product XML) then restart computer and log in
again to see if that helps ?0
