Native Access Install Windows 8 NTKDaemon fails error

I'm trying to install Native Access on my Windows 8 PC so I can use the Luke Holland plugin I got. Windows 8 is old and sucks, I'm fully aware. While installing, I make it to the point where it runs another installer for the Native Instruments NTKDaemon. This fails.

I have full administrator privileges. I right-clicked "run as administrator" when running the Native Access installer. Not sure what to do. I would like to avoid updating the OS of my PC IF possible. Not sure of the ramifications to everything else if I update.

Any help would be much appreciated :)

Windows 8 as you also wrote, is an extremely old system (and if i may, one of the worst Microsoft products, ever), so, in many cases, new things simply can not work on them.

If you need however to continue user them, you have to accept that your access to new products will be very limited and you have to stay on very old versions.

This is the case with your Native Access. You are trying to install a new version, but for Windows 8 the newest compatible version, is the version 1.14.1!

So please uninstall the new version, then download this version from here, and install it:

Also it will be a great idea to check all NI products compatibility, so to avoid to buy something that you can not use:

The alternative solution (and the most obvious and logical one), is to upgrade your Windows to 10 or 11.
