UVI Mosaiq Issues
So I was looking into making a library for Mosaiq which is one of the latest libraries but I have hit an issue which I have always been frustrated with UVI.
In order to map parameters for UVI libraries you first have to "Enable Host Automation" for each parameter you want to order (and Falcon/Workstation have a limitation of 128 parameters).
Usually when you load a library the mapping is empty so you can create a map and have this apply (for the most part) when switching presets as long as the actual parameters between presets remain the same.
FOr whatever reason, Mosaiq has a list of pre-mapped parameters which most are useless for general use and there is no way to just clear this mapping other than 1 at a time which doesn't matter anyway since when you switch presets, it reloads the same mappings.
Waiting for word back from UVI because it makes things kind of useless when you cant easily map things, before NKS I always found this to be the biggest weak point of UVI products when it came to automation and control, that side of their plugins is really lacking.
So for the moment, this library cannot be done.

I looked at Mosaiq myself but it seems to suffer from the same problems as Playbox, which is that it can't actually be played chromatically on a keyboard.

Yeah, it's designed I assume as a "single key makes music" kind of plugin like most of their falcon expansions really. All you can do is play each of the separate element sequences.
I was asked if I could look at making NKS for it and I have the Sonic Pass for a month to look at new libraries but this one has actual issues, like after switching a few presets you cannot even learn some parameters for HA anymore, they show you can but never actually learn and ones that do simply reset on next preset change. Support confirmed that Falcoin has no way to remove all HA mapping either which is disappointing, it's always been my biggest gripe with UVI, their very limited HA ability and the fact it is often completely lost between preset switches if the macro mapping under the hood changes. Spent Soooooo many hours just manually mapping presets or designing scripts to do it to just generate libraries and other than Falcon factory and Vintage Vault, not much else has been all that popular with libraries TBH.

With the older software, the user presets didn't have a volume slider for previews in Komplete Kontrol as did the factory presets. Not sure about the newer KK.

Now Available: UVI Falcon Expansions NKS Libraries for

No images/dist_database for these?

fwiw, I will continue to buy your UVI stuff specifically for this reason. A lot of libraries I map myself, but the Falcon stuff is a pain. No interest in Mosaiq though…

nope, they are expansions for falcon so appear as a sub bank in the falcon browser (tho due to NI fu$&@ng up the sub banks I. The V3 of KK and they don’t show, may not be a sub bank to select) but no artwork files needed.

Now Available: UVI Vintage Instrument: PX P-10 NKS Library
Part of Vintage Vault 3 this one was never released as a standalone library, basically due to so many in the VV collection and the fact most people just own the VV collection itself I only release the standalone instrument libraries upon request so this one has now also been added if you do not happen to own Vintage Vault, you can still get the PX P-10 library along with many others. If one is not listed but you would like to see it available just ask me.

Now Available: UVI PX WaveFrame
Full library for the PX WaveFrame (not to be confused with the "WaveFrame" library already available. This library covers all 350 presets with detailed control mapping, fully tagged presets, sound previews and library artwork files.
Supports loading in both Falcon / Workstation and works with VST2/VST3 plugin versions.

Anyone have WaveFrame? I am a glutton for vintage instruments, but I've never heard of this one.

Yeah I've got it. I like it for kind of vague (maybe slightly cheesy but in the best way) nostalgia. I say vague because it's not something you've heard a million times like a Moog or a Prophet, but still distinctly feels like it was of a specific time if that makes sense. It's a vibe.

Funny you should use that word, because that is exactly why I buy the vintage stuff, to get that feeling of "nostalgia" in that my dream synths of the past are now mine. However, I am thinking I won't get that feeling with PX WaveFrame because I never knew of it. Did you have that feeling because you knew of the WaveFrame AudioFrame?

No, I was not familiar with it. My point is that the synth feels familiar and definitely of an era even without being able to quite place it. I like it. But it probably won't be a workhorse for you unless you happen to make a lot of "vaguely 80s" music and you're tired of using your Juno for everything.

Now Available: Xfer Serum 2 NKS Library
New library for Serum 2 now available.
While Serum itself does support using previous patches designed for Serum, external projects (DAW Projects) and NKS files cannot easily update to use Serum 2 sadly so it was required to export the library from scratch with a completely new and improved controller template.
This library includes both the Serum 1 library (with all the previous tagging efforts from the old library migrated across) and the new Serum 2 preset library with full tagging.
With the update in controls there has been a complete overhaul of the old template. Page 1 now holds the 8 macro controls, tho note since Serum 1 only contained 4 macro controls all serum 1 patches only load the 4 macro controls leaving the others free for your own mapping. These will auto populate the control name for easy control.
The OSC control section was a challenge because Serum intelligently switches some of the controls around but with some effort I managed to create a control page that should allow access to the main controls over all OSC types, just be aware depending on the OSC type, not all controls are applicable. It makes sense after a little bit of play.
The FX section of Serum 2 is completely modular now and due to the complex and large number of parameters Xfer have done away with automatable controls for these effects, instead allowing you to map automation with right-click of 16 parameters. These are mapped to 16 reserved FX Automation slots which have been pre-mapped for you on the last 2 pages of the control template however in my tests I believe there is a bit of a bug in this feature as it seems to not reset the automation position when switching presets so if you map a parameter and switch a preset, all parameters are no longer mapped (as expected) but when you right-click to map a new parameter it does not take the first available automation slot, rather if you had 1 mapped previous it always now takes the next slot after that even if the first is free. This is certainly a bug I will raise with Xfer.
While I am confident that the 25 page template covers most of what should be needed, if you discover a parameter that has not been mapped and would be useful to have access too, please let me know and I can add it to an update.
Also note, the previous expansions NKS libraries that were available for Serum 1 have not yet been generated for Serum 2, that will come soon.
