Just decided to give a chance to PolySynth, after years of using VSTs for this range. And I was very satisfied with the easyness of use and specially its clear page disposition of controlls. I will still hold my opinion about sound, as I need to explore more.
However, noticed that when using Pulse Osc in widths different than 50%, it generates a strong DC offset. It is visible as lots of energy in sub-frequencies in any analyzer; or if you LP filter it until no sound heard, you will see lots of energy filling the channel.
This eats a lot of headroom in mixes, and makes compressors misbehave with it. Among other problems. Of course this is proper emulation of analog, however, I will always need to add a HPF or DC filter to make it usable.
Or maybe, does Poly Synth have a DC correction option which I did not see? It would be very helpful, as none internal plug-in has DC correction. Thanks !
