Cannot Get Traktor S2 to Work With Any Software

Hi, I cannot get my Traktor S2 mk1 to connect to either Traktor software or Virtual DJ pro. I've downloaded all the latest drivers, updates, firmware and nothing. The software recognises the hardware on both softwares but nothing will active when using controls on hardware.

Any Ideas? I'm pulling my hair out.

It is old HW but windows shouldn't give any driver issues like modern macOS.

What windows version? - latest Win11 allows controller to communicate to both software simultaneously. So, if you have Older updates installed then close VDJ and start Traktor only.

Check the Controller Manager - see if the mapping is added automatically to the devices list. If it is not then search for the mapping to add it manually.

Check the Controller Editor - see if it is installed on your PC and check if the editor works with the hardware.

It will give you driver issues - if the driver is not supported in the OS you are trying to use it in.

Windows 10 can be pushed in lots of uncomfortable directions when it comes to old hardware - but even it can be tripped up by something it was never designed to use.
