AUTOMATION - read the manual, search youtube, still not recording when using controller

Hello community.

Been trying to record automation.

No success.

I am able to control filter knob (it moves when using midi controller) using the learn function.

But it does not write automation to the automation lane in mashine software.

When i use the pen tool (on filter-cutoff) in. parameter lane, then the automation applies proper automation.

* yes - i tried pushing the "auto" button - no success
* yes - i see the knob moving when using my "korg midi controller"
* yes - i set up the midi input page to proper midi controller

I am at the end of my troubleshooting skills…

Thank you so much for your time.

I did all that you suggest… but with no luck.

I have the MIKRO mk3 hardware to control Maschine 3.

My issue is that when i want to record automation (using Korg controller synth, not MIKRO hardware), i see the knob moving using my Korg controller but nothing is being recorded when actually doing the RECORD process by activating the AUTO button.

The only way automation is recorded is when i use my mouse and move the outer rim of the FILTER cutoff parameter (seen in screen capture).

Which is what i'm trying to do using my midi controller (korg controller).

You have 2 options

1 Hold down the AUTO button(don't let it go) and move the knob or knobs you want to automate. Also don't forget to hit shift record to count in so you give yourself sometime to get ready to automate.

2 Hold SHIFT then press AUTO button. you should see the AUTO button light up. This means it's locked and now you have both hands to automate. To unlock do the same process you just used to lock.

Your midi in/out settings should be left to default unless you are doing something I am n to aware of.
