for some reason i used to be able to drag and drop samples, songs, etc. on to the mk3 via the software. but now every time i try to drag a sample to a empty sound pad i get the little red circle crossed out? did they take drag and drop away?
Perhaps this issue has to do with the same issue as you "issues with maschine 3 and mk3" thread , and I think that you should have mentioned it rather than making two threads.

Doesn't sound like the same problem at first look - one is a software crash, this is a drag-drop problem.
Where are you drag-dropping the samples from? Is it from the Maschine sample browser on the left or from Windows Explorer? If you're trying to do it from Explorer make sure you're not running Maschine or your DAW as an administrator. If you're doing that you can't drag from Explorer due to security constraints.
