Traktor Pro 3.11. 17 I am trying to map the Sample button on my Kontrol S2 MK3 to control the Primary FX Unit (FX Unit 1 or 2) On/Off state using a modifier, replicating a common technique.
Goal:
* Sample button alone: Turn Primary FX ON.
* Shift + Sample button: Turn Primary FX OFF.
My attempted configuration (using FX Unit 1):
1. FX ON (Sample alone): FX Unit On, Direct, Set to 1, M7=0.
2. FX OFF (Shift + Sample): FX Unit On, Direct, Set to 0, M7=1.
I have cleared the conflicting factory mapping for the Sample button. The issue is that the mapping either doesn't register correctly, or I am using the wrong Modifier number for the S2 MK3's Shift button (I've tried M1 and M7).
Can anyone confirm the correct Modifier assigned to the Shift button on the S2 MK3 for custom mappings, or suggest a video or step by step more reliable method for this specific dual-function ON/OFF control?
I’m trying to replicate this Traktor mapping from 1:58–2:27 in this video:

It’s for my Kontrol S2 MK3:
Sample button alone = Turn Primary FX ON
Shift + Sample = Turn Primary FX OFF
I’ve tried setting it up myself using Direct mode + Modifier Conditions (M1=0 / M1=1), but it’s not working. The video doesn’t show the exact Controller Manager steps.
