Hello CakeAlexS, I created a support ticklet for you asking the support tool, so we can understand the issue's reason better. So, please check you emails and send us the support tool result(not here) as an answer to that tticket, so we can help you further to solve that issue as soon as possible.

    I hope this helps☺️

    Hi there,

I have a similar issue; I have 8 external devices, and Midi drops out every time I use Maschine. I'm running Windows 11 Home and using Maschine 3.2. I don't have any MIDI drop-out issues with Studio One 7 or Bitwig. The reg hack did make any difference. Can you please send me a support tool too?

    Kind regards

    Ian

It should read "The reg hack did not make any difference"; I can't figure out how to edit the post.

Bit of an overreaction here based on wild assumptions. While it's appreciated I'm not asking for support or troubleshooting right now.

It's a simple yes or no answer to the original question.

    Happy to accept either.

    Maybe I should rephrase it.

Is the reg hack obsolete nowadays with the latest software/ Windows OS?

That's it really. Not here to troubleshoot.

Overreaction and wild assumptions? The replies seemed reasonable to me.

People generally ask questions here because they're having a problem, so Mert's reply simply offered help. Why would you need to ask if you weren't having a problem with it? Surely if the issue didn't arise, it's been fixed, or if it did (see lwspliff post) then it's not fixed.

Hello CakeAlexS, I asked for a support tool as every issue can be caused by individual reasons. So, to try to solve this it is better to see this individual reason. If we are speaking about a general solution, it seems like there is no fix for the general issue but the fixes can be applied individually at the moment.

I still escalated this question to the related team and will get back to you as soon as I have an answer, but surely our team is working on a fix.

    I hope this helps☺️

    Ok appreciated.

All I wanted to know is, if this is still a thing or not nowadays. Please don't let me waste your resources otherwise.

    Many thanks!

Honestly I appreciate the help, and I appreciate somebody is trying to help.
But I honestly didn't need support or troubleshooting, I was just wondering what the answer of the question is, it was a simple question needing a simple answer, and clearly the butterfly effect has been engaged perhaps heading towards Godwins law, whereby it's been blown up out of proportion. All this from just four words that I wrote.

But thankyou, please don't take me as being rude or take it personally.

As to my "wild assumptions" comment, it was targeted towards this comment below, it was not made by Mert_NI, and I should have made that clearer.

"It should read "The reg hack did not make any difference"; I can't figure out how to edit the post."

That was absolutely a wild assumption as at no stage did I imply this was or wasn't happening, and all this from just four words I wrote. At no stage did I state what was going on at my end as I'm not actually trying to resolve anything right now. I'm just trying to work out whether that hack should be engaged or not regardless of whether I'm experiencing issues or not. Is it a valid thing to do nowadays or isn't it? It's that simple.

But again I really do appreciate somebody trying to help.

IMO the "just four words" thing is part of the problem, in the same way as writing "and it's gone" then (rather than explaining anything) posting a video and writing "see the video".

If you had provided some context in the first post (i.e. the reason you're asking) people probably would have understood better.

Don't take it personally. It's a common thing on forums - people literally write "[something] is not working. Please help", then when people make suggestions, the reply is "I tried that already" etc. etc.

    🙂

    Hi

I asked a very simple question.

    Was this ever fixed?

I'm still wondering if this was or wasn't, and should we employ reg hacks by default or not?

At no stage was I asking for anything to be fixed for my specific configuration or for support or for troubleshooting. If I needed that I would have provided far more information.

And again I appreciate the people who were only trying to help.

Just something further to add, I just twigged something:
"It should read "The reg hack did not make any difference"; I can't figure out how to edit the post."

Perhaps I misunderstood his intentions here, I though he was somehow trying to correct me for some inexplicable reason.

I though he wanted to "correct" the subject of my thread.

If so that's one of the dangers of piggybacking somebody else's thread. He has a support issue, I simply have a question. They may be related but it's off topic for my post. Maybe he would like to create a new thread, and get admin to move his posts there, or maybe his posts should be moved to the thread I pointed to in the original post.

It's not really off topic though. To all intents and purposes, that post answered your question - but you still complained that responses didn't meet your expectations. 🤔

I also don't get it. Does that reg change still affect the current Maschine software or no?
