Access2 update 3.18 released 1may25, anyone having issues with this update.?

I installed Access 3.17 30apr and that works on macOS 15.4, on opening app a dialog states an update will perform on exit or restart, however update 3.18 doesn't work, it just hangs with a pink screen. Resolution - trash updated app and reinstall 3.17 and all works fine, until you quit and automatic update takes over.

I wish developers would not force automatic updates on users and allow us to install when convenient.!

Many wished that…and also expressed it.

    But they didn’t care

    How did you reinstall 3.17?
For me after upgrading to 3.18, Native Access fails at "Loading Products" and Kontakt believes I never bought anything from Steinberg and offering a Demo license.

😕Wow that’s scary, I find myself having to screenshot everything these days just to prove ownership or a point, as most companies think I’m either ignorant or trying it on.

I’m in the process of building a new system from scratch and downloaded Access on Wednesday 30th, and on completion of install Apple ask if you want to keep or trash installer, I choose to keep so I retained a copy in downloads, on that date the version was 3.17.

As I say I was only informed of a new update when I opened Access so I must have downloaded from Native at a time they were updating servers, the following day I tried a fresh install of Access apposed to letting it auto update and noted that was identified as 3.18.

Right now it’s a pain in the ass, I have to install 3.17, do what I want and then trash it, and then repeat the whole process when I next need to download or change a preference.

BTW, none of the above is effecting use of products, all apps work standalone and I’m in the process of testing plug-ins for Logic11, Cubase14 and Protools21.

I can upload Access 3.17 here if it helps. Are we aloud to upload software here or will I kicked out by admin, ffs its like being at school.?😂

Hello bounce boy, unfortunately it is not possible to stop the auto update for Native Access.

According to the issue that you are having, I will need to ask the screenshit(not for that you prove anything but we understand teh issue easier). Can you please send us the screenshot of the pink screen that you get so we can understand teh issue easier and help you to solve that as soon as possible.

    I hope this helps☺️

Hello Mert - as requested screenshots attached,

BTW, the system behaviour is effected while Access is trying to run, everything is slow and takes time to open, so this issues is causing a bottleneck of sorts, once i quit the app the system behaves normally.

    To recap - ver 3.17 works fine - macOS 15.4 - machine macpro - graphics AMD Radeon R9 370 4Gb.

    Thanks

    Regards

    Paul

Hello bounce boy, sorry I was out for few days, therefore I was out of the community. Our team has escalated the issue. Does the issue persist?

It is possible that it is only a graphical issue and the ntkdaemon service is working correctly in the background.

in that case you could check if opening the 3.18.0 version of NA first, waiting a a minute, closing NA again will get the installed products activated.

However, if the issue persist, you can try to downgrade the Native Access version while we are working on it and maybe an auto update afterwards, can solve the issue. Here is the link that you can download the previous version of the Native Access, in case you may need it:

    I hope this helps☺️
