When will Native Access have full Apple Silicon support? (Installer still req. Rosetta)

Hi, title says it all, when will there be full support for Apple Silicon?
I tried installing Native Access today and received this:

Native Access app and NTKDaemon are already Apple Silicon native; it's only the NI Installer app for installing Native Access and NTKDaemon that requires Rosetta 2.

Hi, yes that is correct. I'm asking when there will be full support for Apple Silicon.
If the installer requires Rosetta, then there isn't full support for Apple Silicon.
I saw a post about a year ago saying they were working to update the installers, I thought this was part of that and want to know when it is expected to be completed.

IIRC Rosetta is needed to activate discontinued products, allowing customers to have their older products on their newer systems. This means Rosetta is only needed for the activation part so it has zero impact on performance. @Mert_NI Can you confirm?

Hi, thank you for your reply.
I get this message when installing the NI Access tool, even before I can select any instruments to install. I can't even open NI Access without installing Rosetta, I can post the other message it shows after I answer "Not Now" to the above message. It is something along the lines that NI Access requires Rosetta to install and can't continue without it.
I don't want to and am not trying to install any legacy instruments that would require Rosetta. It seems I can't even install the Apple Silicon NI instruments without installing Rosetta, which is a bit of a paradox.

@thejestre Unfortunately it's not a choice we can make per user. You simply need to install Rosetta, as explained in this article from Apple:

Hi,
I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "it's not a choice we can make per user."
I'm not asking for a work-around or how to install Rosetta/NI Access, I'm asking when NI will have full Apple Silicon support (excluding legacy instruments).

Exactly @Jeremy_NI ☺️

Hello thejestre, most of the newest products should be compatible at the moment with the newest operating systems at the moment. Here is the website that you can check the Compatibility Chart for Native Instruments Products, in case you may need to check it:
I hope this helps☺️

Any update on when Native Access will NOT require Rosetta?

Hi Mert_NI,
Thank you for your answer. The answer is to a different question though. I think the title of my post was not very clear.
My question is: "When will installing and using Native Access not require Rosetta?" like keithos27 is echoing above.
I have seen the instruments being upgraded, and want to know when I can install and run NI instruments/effects/etc without needing Rosetta. Currently, it is not possible for me on a new computer to use any NI instruments without installing Rosetta, since NI Access' installer requires this.
Do you have any timeline on when this will be addressed?
Thank you.

I'm a bit confused by this. If all Rosetta is enabling to happen is the install of NTK-Daemon, but NTK-Daemon and Native Access are themselves both Silicon Native, then how is that also facilitating the installation of legacy (non native) products? If anything it would demonstrate (logically) that Rosetta is not needed for the installation of non legacy apps (just for their running). However I remember Hayo saying something about some installers needing Rosetta to function (presumably the legacy ones) and that would make much more sense, which implies that the requirement to install Rosetta doesn't need to be tied to the install of NTK-Daemon but could instead be made an option just for people who want to install legacy products. Which is what is being asked for.

Hello thejestre, sorry for the misunderstanding.
Even though this subject is on talks, I think the real answer here is that the latest/updated installers may not need Rosetta, but NA still needs to have Rosetta to be able to run older installers, which may never be updated to not need Rosetta. So, saying something sure about it would not be possible at the moment, but it will be good to know that there is a possibility that it may never be updated to not need Rosetta in the long term at the moment.
I hope this helps☺️

Maybe NA should install Rosetta when needed, some users might never need to run old installers.
