Traktor Cruise Mode and Hardware Faders: Is there a way to disable manual transitions?

Cruise mode is great, but I have messed up badly in two gigs now, because of accidentally triggering an auto-transition by touching the faders.
I think there are two points of confusion:
- When cruise mode is activated, it takes control of the software faders and now they are out of sync with the hardware faders (can't really get around this without motorized faders).
- Moving the fader of a deck that is not playing at the moment usually does not have any effect, but when in cruise mode it starts the next transition and can mess things up.
Is there a way to disable manual transitions by moving the faders?
I would like a setting that when enabled just disables cruise mode when the faders are moved and shows a message on the screen.
I tried building something like this with controller mappings but without success. In that regard can we have "cruise mode on/off" as a modifier in the controller mappings?
Because of this issue I am hesitant to put the money down for Traktor 4.

A: I don't think the automixer will ever get a software update.
B: Remap your faders. If you are using an NI controller, add a volume assignment for every channel and map it to the corresponding fader. Check 'override' and check 'soft-takeover'. The soft-takeover will interrupt any channel volume changes if software fader and hardware fader are not in the same position. You first have to move the hardware fader to (or over) the software fader position before the connection is re-established.
Note: after starting Traktor or loading the mapping, you have to move each fader at least once to initialize the soft-takeover functionality, before activating automix.
Result: When automix is enabled, you can touch and even move the maxed fader of the not-playing deck accidentally without making the software fader jump and the play states change.
Note2: I don't ever use automix (cruise-mode) for any reason other than when i know that i need a really long break in the middle of the set and none of the DJ's nearby is willing to help me out.
