Is there any way to disable making clips?

I've been having a problem for the last hour. I got my Maschine Mikro MK3 yesterday, so im really new to this. Every time I try to change the drums in my pattern, a clip gets created. I Don't know how to fix this. I can't do anything right now in my pattern.
