Why does NTKDaemon want to run as a login item?

Hi, this question is more to NI itself, then to the Community but anyways.
Why NTKDaemon wants to install itself as a login item every time I start Native Access app (which is a horrible behemoth by itself, btw)?
It is really required to download files from the Internet, to have a daemon app running for all times? I am having a laptop with 8 GB of memory, and every fng developer does not try to write lean software that carefully treats my computer resources.

Well - it is a service so that is why it runs all the time.
If it's hassle - you can always just shut it down.

Yes, I understand the need for a background process to install software; it allows for non-blocking UI.
Why does it want to run for all time on my computer? I do not install NI libraries every day, or even every month.
Thank you for the link, but it does not answer my question.

Well I participated in the dev talks and for ages, asking the same question, as to why it needs to run all the time, where only occasionally Id start NA to check things. Somewhere it was supposed to be considered about what could be done about this, but the answers were always inconclusive and/or dutifully sidestepped. Im still waiting what is to be done about this process running which uses resources unnecessarily.
For this reason I am STILL on NA1 where I dont see any DEMON running and have no intention of installing NA2 until something more comes to light.
