Why can't I register my brand new MK3 hardware?

I bought a brand new MK3 from guitar center but I cannot register my serial. Why? I followed the step my step guide it came with, and I read over the helpful tips guide. I need NI Support ******!!

Hello,

so you made an account, installed native access 2 and you are logged in, them you choose "add serial", enter the serial and then you get an error message? On this website, if you are logged in, you have a "need any help" live messenger on the bottom right. https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/categories/360000053677-Native-Access
