How to fix: NKTDaemonService failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start…
Hey community,
I tried to delete all data from NI from my Windows computer. I wanted to re-download everything onto a new drive and deleting everything one by one was too much of a hassle. That's why I deleted the entire hard drive, searched for NKTDaemon etc. in the task manager and deleted them as well. Also searched for the last data from NI in the Exporer and also deleted it. Now I wanted to install everything again, but Native Access just says "Dependency installation process is taking longer than normal." I understood that I also need the drivers like NKT Daemon and I reinstalled them as well. But now it says "NKTDaemonService failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services" I've already tried everything I found here from the official NI site and I couldn't find anything here in the community. Anyone know what I can do? Or take a look with TeamViewer?

Have you started NA as administrator (with administrator rights)?
And you did not wrote anything about registry. Have you also deleted something there? If you are not familiar with registry editing, better not to do it. One may do wrong things hard to repair (and find) very easily....

I warned you not to fiddle with registry, if you do not precisely know, what you are doing....
In this case, the best would be contact NI Support, or reinstall Windows.

Please make a forum thread of your own in the appropriate Native Access sub forum to seek assistance from other users or contact N.I. support instead instead - or both !
In both cases please give as much information about the problem , what caused the problem and any steps taken to try to rectify the problem and include information about computer type , and exact OS type version and be sure to include program versions also , what version of Native Access did you originally use and which version did you try to install !
