Can' assign any plugin parameter to a knob on maschine for automation ?
Sup folks, I was trying to automate a plugin parameter on maschine and realized that I apparently can't:
1 - automate a parameter that isn't assigned to a knob on maschine.
2- assign a new parameter to a knob that isn't there by default.
3- seems like the default parameters on some plugins (uad poly, diva etc) is kinda randomly assigned. some of the more relevant isn't there, some more irrelevant is there, and their position doesn't even make sense, like one knob control a parameter and the other parameter besides it on the plugin is assigned to a knob on other page and things like that.
I really hope that this is customizable, cause that's some basic issh.
I appreciate any help.

Are you loading Diva thru the Browser NKS patches? If you load it from the plugin list the parameter page is just auto-populated and won't be very practical.
To customize parameter pages just press the dropdown arrow, select pages, press 'Learn', and turn a knob on the plugin.

After configuring it might be a good idea to save the patch so you don't have to do it again, or save as default, depends...

You can assign parameters to knobs, check the manual for midi learn.
The way parameters are mapped to the knobs is up to the developers and they might think that two parameters which are far apart on the gui are important to have next to each other.

Thank you for your help! Just one more thing, there is no way around browsing presets with the mouse with non NKS plugins ? At least assigning program change forward and backwards for any knob or something ?

Humm.. I think that would depend if the plugin can do that, also... the only way I am aware of sending PC from Maschine is from Macro Knob and that would be a bit awkward.
You're better off getting NKS packs from here: https://community.native-instruments.com/discussion/332/nks-user-library/
All popular plugs should be there.
