Need Help Setting Up Traktor MIDI Shift Button
I am trying to use Modifier #1 as my "Shift" button. I want to hold a button down on the MIDI controller to display a different layout of shift functions and corresponding LEDs (MIDI OUT) on the controller, then as soon as I let go of the shift button, all the LEDs go back to the normal, non-modifier layout. Right now, the modifer is set to "hold", but this works like a toggle, which I don't want. The LEDs also continue to show the Modifier layout until pressed, which won't work. Any help with this? TIA.

It sounds like you have configured your lower-left corner as "CC Toggle" and not "CC Hold".
But it also sounds like your Play and Loop Active commands are not assigned to any modifier conditions.
If you set a Modifier to switch between values 0 and 1 then assign those specific values to your Play and Loop Active commands.

The non-modifier functions still happen too when in modifier mode.

What controller do you use and what your modifier setup for the Shift button looks like? (how many commands)

I'm gonna be using a lot of different controllers, but judging by your pro pic maybe you can help with my MFT. For example, the top left encoder is set to deck A play, and the bottom left encoder shall be the shift knob. If I hold down the bottom left shift knob, pressing the top left encoder presses play AND the shift function (we'll say is loop ON).

Would I set the CC Toggle in the MFT software?

If you set to "CC Toggle" then configure modifier as "hold" type.
And if you set to "CC Hold" then configure modifier as "toggle" type.

Awesome, the toggle/hold issue has been solved. Now how do I keep PLAY from playing when Im using shift functioned LOOP?

I have LOOP set to M1=1, but what do I set PLAY (non modifier) to? Right now its M1=0. I'd also like to do 4 or more pages or this, one layout for each deck, so hopefully that won't be too difficult. For Deck B on the same buttons, should I use Modifier 2 or just M2 on Modifier 1?

o you know what Hotcues are listed under? not saving or deleting them, just simply launching them.

Add In --> Track Deck --> Cue --> Select/Set+Store Hotcue is the location.
