Installing library from usb Key or ext Disk

I see a lot of tutos to explain how to install our libraries on an ext disk with Native Access but I see no tutos to install a library "from" an ext feature (USB key or disk) . My problem is my internet link is very slow and I may use the internet connexion of a friend of me to have the benefit of an optical fiber to download huge files but I don't see in Native Access menus the process to reimport the downloaded library on my Home studio PC... Is anybody knows a solution ?

    @Wills01 , you may:

    1) Install Kontakt Libraries and Expansions at friend's place on external disc.

    2) Carry the disc home and either copy installed files to desired folder on your computer or use that external disc as permanent storage.

    3) Run Native Access and for each item (Kontakt Library/Expansion) press ... in upper right corner (if tiview is used). Local menu appears. Choose Locate and navigate NA to folder where given item is located.

    NA will authorise item and set everything it may be used.

    The only obstacle is, you have to go one by one. But even K14U CE one might to do it in an hour or so...

    If you download libraries through another Native Access to an external device and then take that device home, your Native Access is not able to see those libraries, for various reasons, usually because the registry entries are missing.

    But, you can simply install them manually, without using Native Access and, after installation, you open again your Native Access and click the "refresh" button. Of course for this to work you need to have the installation file (usually an .iso), and not just the contents of those libraries.

    It is clear but.... Where is it possible to download the library and the installation file you mention in your answer without using Native access ? Thank you to complete your answer !

    Officially, this is not supported, you have to download through Native Access. However while the libraries installation, the downloaded files are remain in your downloads folder, until the installation is finished. So you can easily copy them somewhere else and save them. But you have to do it before the installation finished, because after that, Native Access deletes those files, which in my opinion it is a very bad tactic, people should be able to have their well-paid downloaded files. I know many musician who build dedicated studios, using offline computers, no network, no antivirus or any kind of non-music program. Anyway....

    Another thing you can do, is to ask those installation files from the Support team. Occasionally our good admins here, provide such links.

    Apart of that, the only other way is, unfortunately, the slow download you mention that you have. But... if you are using a laptop, you can still, take it with you when you go to your friend with the fast internet, connect your laptop to his network and do the job there! :-)

    Worth to mention we don’t even have to go one by one.

    As suggested by NI guy (Matt I think) it can be done in group. If all the libraries are under a single root directory (e.g. /Libraries/…), opening NA, pushing refresh to make all “locate” appear, then using “Locate all” and pointing at the root directory will batch locate them all

    There is not, IMHO, "Locate All". At least have I looked for and did not find anything like that.

    It seems to me that NI talked about it that thay consider to add such functionality.

    But "Locate All" and "Relocate All" are two different things.

    The former helps to locate already installed Libraries (to "repair" broken install), the hypothetical latter would enable to locate not installed Libraries ("install" those Libraries).

    OP needs the latter one, that does not exist, yet. So, he has to do it one by one.

    Correction one month after: you were right, they are 2 different things (even if your description is upside down: relocate all exists and is for already installed libraries on the same computer, locate all would be for using a new computer with an external disk. At least in NA 1)

    Better to correct my wrong answer and not give other users false hopes ☺️
