Navigate browser maschine mikro mk3
Hello,
How can I navigate between groups, loops and samples from the maschine mikro mk3 controller?

As incomprehensible as it can be, you can’t do it from the hardware.
Everything you can do is scroll through recent projects (with 1), scroll through favorites in the software focused category (with 2) or scroll through the list of the category focused in the software (with 3).
To change the categories you have to use the mouse and do it in the software.
I think what they did here is trying to make mikro models even more dependent from the computer, in order to make people desire to upgrade to bigger models…

...don't you people ever read the manual before you use your devices? 🙄
Check this video, i think it covers your case:

I'm talking about navigating between one-shots, loops, kits, instruments etc. in the browser.
I couldn't find it in the manual.

Click the Browser button and use Encoder to scroll and navigate

Ok, I can scroll through the list, but I can't figure out how to switch from kits to one-shots or loops, for example.
I can do it with the mikro mk2 but I can't find it with the mikro mk3

You can also click on the Encoder, not just rotate it, maybe this is the case, alone, or combined with the browser button.

Yes, I have tried several combinations without success.

It’s because they designed it like this.
Practically a step back from previous versions

Ok thanks
It's a completely absurd restriction. How could a mikro, even with this navigation feature, overshadow a mk3... which I also own.
Now maschine mk3 has been out for almost 6 years, this navigation feature for the mikro should be implemented as it was with the mikro mk2. Please NI give us this possibility.

I second your request…but I also warn you that the first time I’ve seen this request was like 4 years ago, under their own “Browsing Sounds with MASCHINE MIKRO” video (the one where Boris after the selections made in the computer with the mouse comes back on screen at 0:19 all bent over the Mikro with his hands on it…quite funny and ironic, isn’t it? 😂😂😂) and then many other times…and guess what? They didn’t even answer…

Ah ah I just saw, apparently he made it 😂
I'm noticing as I use it that there are in fact other restrictions compared to the mikro mk2... it's abused you can't even load a plugin lol
Do something NI you can't leave the mikro so amputated

Yes, short answer is "you cant, use the mouse."
NI was really adamant about this at the time with justifications like the MM3 should be simple, or "unbloated" or whatever.
They did change their mind about the MM3 not having MIDI Mode at launch or Controller Editor support due to massive criticism but they never rethink the silly browser limitation's. The time span for changes of this nature is 1-2 years after release, if by then it hasn't changed then it never will IMO.

Yes, I'd seen this for midi mode it's was crazy, but I had no idea there would be so many restrictions! I really have a bitter taste in my mouth! users really don't get any consideration, it's pathetic.

Ok, let me play the devil's advocate for a while...
You go to buy a car: does BMW ever asked you, how do you want that car?
You go to buy bread: Does the baker ever asked you, "how do you like your bread tomorrow"?
You go to buy the new CD from your favorite artist: Did he ever asked you if you prefer flute on his new track or not?
No, no and no, right? So, why the software developers should do it?
That's life dear co-member, right? When i create something i define the rules, when you create something, you define the rules, etc. etc. :-)

Well, not sure those are fair comparisons since software can be updated, and it's expected to improve over time unlike physical hw car parts or subjective choices of art/music or food. Heck I'm no dev and I could probably add browser section switching with a few lines of code if i bothered.
I think the issue here is the Mikro MK2 actually had the ability to navigate between the browser sections, so naturally, people expected the MM3 to also have that feature... If they changed their mind and added midi support due to customer feedback they could also have done other things too.
