I launched NA and got this:
Please Grant Permission to Native Access to Install Dependencies. Please Restart Native Access and Try Again
Absolutely nothing has changed in my system since I last launched NA. This is for NA2
Please check this article first:
Native Access Error: "Please grant permission to NTK Daemon to install dependencies"
If this doesn't work, you need to downgrade to Native Access 1: How to Downgrade Native Access 2 to Native Access 1

Hey @pranaearth I had put an older version of NTKDaemon in ther link, my apologies. I've updated the link, here it is again: NTKDaemon
@kipe @eliassinclair Please get in touch with our colleagues here: http://bit.ly/NIsupport_install
It seems like I found a solution (at least for my system and for now).
I kicked NTKDaemon out of the list for apps that got automatically started with a restart. Then reinstalled NTKDaemon:
Native Access App - Contents - Resources - daemon - mac - NTK Daemon Installer Mac.pkg
it will now automatically be added to the list again but this time it works.
Now it seems to be stable. Looks like the startup process did not work until you remove it there and then add again.
Good luck to everyone
Dear Native Instruments employees, software development division etc...,
Please have the setup FIRST INSTALL 'NTKDaemon'. This is the problem, without this installed Native Access doesn't run. Out of the box on Windows 11 it's broken.
This is as simple as creating a bat file and putting this one line here:
C:\Program Files\Native Instruments\Native Access\resources\daemon\win\NTKDaemon 1.9.1 Setup PC
(this version will change when it's updated again)
If your app requires NTKDaemon, please have it install first!! Please update and fix your software out of the box!
Thanks you for this tip. Hit this same dependency issue and manually running this installer and now it's back up and running. This is on Windows 11 also
Is there any conclusion how to solve this permanently without terminal commands?
I have the problem again since the latest 3.2.0 update. Only worked with reinstalling NTK Daemon and then the famous terminal command:
sudo /Library/Application\ Support/Native\ Instruments/NTK/NTKDaemon.app/Contents/MacOS/NTKDaemon
after every restart.
I am on M1 Mac on latest OS.
Hit this issue AGAIN today and AGAIN needed to google this solution for a fix. This really needs to be addressed!
Native Access 3.2.0 seems to have fixed the issue for a lot of users but it's still here for some of you. @LukeKeywalker I see you're in contact with our support. Hopefully they find a slution. There should be an update for Native Access coming soon, update that will get rid of the need for Rosetta for Native Access. Not sure it will have a positive influence on your case.
@JesterMgee Yeah, this one is really a sticky one. As I've said, it seems that the latest update fixed the issue for a lot of users (we get a lot less requests about it in support), but, yeah, there are still affected users. Hopefully a smaller number of users will help to narrow down the issue.
I despise your software for bugs..
Running Mac Studio M1 Ultra, or MacBook Pro Intel, both running Ventura (which seems to be the problem). I've installed the daemon by opening the show package contents, makes no difference, I've given both NA and daemon full disk access, no avail. Just like Luke says above, I also have to run the sudo command every time I start Native Access. Which is an outrage really for an app that's supposed to work for normal people. You shouldn't have to run SUDO TERMINAL COMMANDS TO BE ABLE TO OPEN AN APP!!! Get yourself together Native Instruments.
They seem not to be able to solve it. I was promised a solution by the support within the next update and this was three updates ago!!
Now running NA 3.2.2 and still having to run the terminal command every time like a shady hacker.
@oscastyle @LukeKeywalker If you are still experienceing the issue and none of the solutions provided here, please contact my colleagues here: http://bit.ly/NIsupport_install
The story goes on and it gets worse and worse:
Now after updating NA to 3.3.0 and hoping that now the problem may be solved, the opposite is the case.
It still shows the famous messsage of "please grant permission..." BUT now not even the terminal command works anymore.
So NI not only didn't solve the problem - they even killed the workaround! Wow...
FUBAR'd again
@LukeKeywalker @algorithmruss If you have issues that can't be solved with the information provided here, get in touch with our specialists: http://bit.ly/NIsupport_install
@Jeremy_NI this is what I did months ago. They couldn’t add anything to what’s already here in the forum. Tried every steps already - problem came back. Then used the workaround for months and waiting for the promised update which will finally fix this once and for all. Now workaround is gone and Problem still exists.
What now?
I just ran into the same issue Mac Studio M1 Ultra running Ventura. Did all of the hacky suspicious workarounds with Terminal ( super janky ) for the previous versions and now it's happening again for the REQUIRED download of the new version. Also I had to run the janky & lengthy hack EVERYTIME I opened the app previous to the 3.3 version. Come on now NI this seem very unprofessional for a piece of software you REQUIRE us to use in order to access and download things we PAID you for. For your latest versions is your team even bug testing? Can we please get a professional solution to this issue.
