Hello, I’m hoping someone can help me with an issue that has suddenly started occurring.
I’m running a Mac Studio Ultra with 128 GB RAM on macOS Sonoma 14.7. I’m a full-time film and TV composer, so keeping apps and libraries fully updated is essential for compatibility when collaborating with others. I own the latest NI Komplete Collector’s Edition and have always used Native Access without any problems to install updates.
However, yesterday when I started my studio and opened Native Access, it appeared to run some kind of automatic update on launch. After that, I tried updating some libraries, but nothing works anymore. The status at the bottom simply says “Starting”, and under each library it shows “Enqueueing”. After about a minute, I get an error in the top-right corner of Native Access saying:
“There is an issue with the installer service. Please close the app and reboot.”
Restarting the app or the Mac makes no difference at all.
A few libraries did briefly start to “download,” but the download was far too fast for the file size, and then the update disappeared from the list clearly nothing actually installed. That’s another problem on top of the first.
I’ve ensured that Native Access and NTKDaemon both have Full Disk Access enabled in macOS Privacy & Security. Despite this, the same error persists, and I still can’t update anything.
From my understanding, NTKDaemon is the background service that controls installations and downloads for Native Access. When I open Activity Monitor and search for NTKDaemon, it appears as soon as I launch Native Access. But the moment I click “Update” on any library, NTKDaemon immediately disappears, and then Native Access throws the installer error shortly after. I’m starting to think this is the root of the issue.
The libraries are stored on an external HDD with full read/write permissions. I’ve never had any issues before, and I can’t possibly fit Komplete Collector’s Edition (plus all my other Kontakt libraries) on the internal drive anyway.
I’ve already submitted a support ticket, but based on past experience NI support is extremely slow, and I’m on a tight deadline for a project. I’m hoping someone here might know if there’s a way to completely reset Native Access some log, cache, or registry file I might remove so I can start fresh. I’ve already deleted and reinstalled Native Access, but the same problems occur, and the failed updates no longer appear in the “needs update” list, even though they definitely did not install. Please note I used App cleaner to remove NA Is there an actually NI uninstall app i should have used ?
here is a video of the problem I have sent this to NI

This is incredibly frustrating. I’d gladly pay for phone or remote support waiting days between replies when deadlines are looming just isn’t sustainable for professional work, they really should offer sorting like this for us.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks.
