S4 MK1 on M1
Hi guys,
I have just changed my laptop (M1 2022) and I m trying to connect my S4, i have tried multiple times to install the CD of Tracktor Pro 2 that came with S4 MK1 but the system does not support it. I have downloaded from the website Traktor DJ 2 (free version) and Traktor Pro 3 but my laptop still not able to see the S4 MK1.
Anyone does know why?

As you can see:
- macOS 10.15 (Catalina) terminated the operability of some NI legacy hardware. The same applies to macOS 11 (Big Sur) and macOS 12 (Monterey). This includes MASCHINE MK1, MASCHINE MIKRO MK1, AUDIO 2 / 4 / 8 DJ, TRAKTOR AUDIO 2 MK1, and TRAKTOR KONTROL S2 / S4 / X1 MK1.

Check your security settings on your OS and make sure Traktor is allowed in the microphone settings.
You can’t use Traktor pro 2 anymore unless you have a very old computer.

Further to this the M1 chip means any hacks or workarounds that get the older hardware drivers to work on Intel Macs are rendered invalid. You'll need to upgrade the S4 if you want to use the newest Mac.

oh my god, guys, that means my S4 is basically been completely discontinued unless we use a very old laptop with an old OS?

Yes it was discontinued back in 2016. Even before M1 was a thing.
